NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling  ran their second television taping of 2012 at Johnny

Gs Fun Center on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Warner Robins, GA.   By LARRY GOODMAN (1-22-12)

Attendance was 100, which was a step in the right direction compared to the recent tapings. They had more kids this time as well. It was the first show since the start time was pushed back to 3pm and a free ticket gimmick went into effect --- bring a new fan and get in for half price, bring two fans and get in free – so it appears the ticket gimmick worked. It’s doubtful the time change had a positive effect given the timing of the AFC conference final.

It was the typical RPW show featuring solid wrestling and logical booking, and one will likely play better as episodic TV than the live experience, which was somewhat of an endurance contest, as they taped three hours of television without a break. The main event told a compelling story. Georgia’s Tag Team of the Year, The Washington Bullets made a successful debut. J Rod and Shaun Banks had a hot singles match, and Rave Approved pulled off another fine Rampage Rules match. They also did a good job of setting up key matches for the return date on February 12. On the other hand, the multitude of multi-person matches had a numbing effect and aside from the main event, there weren’t many magical moments. As good as the wrestling is, and it is the best in Georgia, the RPW fans have a seen a lot over the last 3+ years and it’s tougher to get a reaction out of them.

(1) Rob Adonis (with Charlie Cash) defeated Jacob Ashworth in 5:08. A complete dismantling of the former NWA Anarchy Young Lion’s Champion making his RPW debut. Adonis pitched a  shutout. He suplexed Ashworth all over the place and pulled him up to prevent the pin. Ashworth got like a five second comeback before Adonis pinned him with spinebuster.

CB Gibson tried an aerial rescue. Adonis caught him in the claw and drilled him with a spinebuster slam. He asked if anybody else wanted some and got no takers. Adonis came across like a real force.

(2) Cru Jones pinned Anthony Henry in 8:56. The crowd popped for Cru and his Sexy Ninja gear. They treated Henry like a non-entity. The RPW regulars will take Jones over a weak babyface every time. Henry’s slingshot suplex came up short. Jones picked Henry up and slammed him on the ring frame. Tried to anyway. Something went awry. Jones grumbled about Henry trying to make him look bad on TV and really planted him the second time around. Jones clowned on offense. A crisp enzuigiri by Henry left both men down. Henry applied a tenacious guillotine choke, converting it into a DDT for a close near fall. Enough of that stuff. Jones stunned Henry with a short right to the jaw and pinned him with a pumphandle suplex. Kind of a clunky match. Henry has been so off his game at RPW. He barely resembles the promising wrestler that made his mark in APW and NWA Anarchy.

(3) “Officer” Chris Jacobs beat The Ninja in 4:47. Jacobs got a strong response from the kids. He throws a nice dropkick. His armdrags looked pretty decent as well. Ninja faked Jacobs out on said armdrag and took over. Jacobs is getting better, but this Ninja was pretty awful. Jacobs used a spinning headscissors to set up the Mr. Wrestling II kneelift for the pin. When Mr. II was back in the area last summer, they taped a segment that aired on RPW TV with Mr. II giving Jacobs pointers.

(4) In a Rampage Rules Match, Rave Approved (Chip Day & Corey Hollis & Patrick Bentley) defeated (Anthony Henry & CB Gibson & Jacob Ashworth in 6:13. Lots of early offense for the babyface jobber team. They looked good and the crowd got behind them. Approved hit a combo alarm clock on Gibson, and Hollis added to the devastation with a reverse suplex.  Isolation and decimation ensued with the Rave crew showing their usual blazing speed and stellar teamwork. Henry, who looked tons better here, got blasted with a vicious version of Hollis’ “Eat This!” back elbow. Bently destroyed Gibson wit the Destroyer. Approved then hit the Overkill their top rope dive combo on Ashworth, Bentley pinning him with a frogsplash at the end.

(5) The Washington Bullets (Trey & Jon Williams) defeated BFFs (“Marvelous” Michael Stevens & “Adorable” Anthony Andrews) in 7:37. From the guns to the buns, Stevens said he was 100% man. Andrews came back from the holiday hiatus with a gear change, dyed hair and a new body.  I hardly recognized him, and that’s meant as a compliment. The crowd took to the debuting Bullets right off. They opened with comedy spots that took advantage of the BFFs buffoonery and it worked. Stevens pumphandled Jon’s arm across the top rope, and BFFs worked the injured body part. Off the hot tag, Trey hit the Captain Morgan kick for a near fall on Stevens. Bullets destroyed Andrews with a combo moves. There rhythm differs from the norm at RPW, so there were some awkward moments. Jon pinned Stevens after a wheelbarrow/kick to the face combo. So far, so good for the Bullets, who bristle with confidence and get over where ever they go. With that said, following Rave Approved was less than ideal match order for their debut. It’s not like Bullets are going to outclass them when it comes to athleticism and seamless teamwork.

(6) J Rod defeated Shaun Banks in 11:15. These dudes had their works shoes on.  It was hard-hitting and fast-paced. J Rod frustrated the hell out of Banks, making him miss on a three consecutive elbow drops. Banks ducked and bailed on a knee strike that would have required plastic surgery if it connected. Banks pulled referee Dustin Robinson in front of him and capitalized when J Rod put on the brakes. Banks hit a flapjack for two. J Rod got an armbreaker but Banks scrambled to the ropes. A top rope elbow drop by Banks was a major crash and burn. Jones ran out but pulled up short, as Banks kicked out of J Rod’s running knee/neckbreaker combo. J Rod was momentarily distracted by Jones’ presence, but Banks couldn’t sustain the advantage. When J Rod hit the Superman Knee. Jones tried to interfere, but J-Rod cut him off and scored the pin. J Rod justified the strong booking with this performance.

Jones attacked J Rod. Hot Like Lava laid him out with a double team and were intent on doing more damage, but Bullets hit the ring for the save.

(7) Frankie Valentine retained the TV Title over Patrick Bentley via DQ at 10:49. Valentine successfully ran the Rave Approved gauntlet at the last taping, but Bentley was DQed and remained the only Rave Approved guy that Valentine hadn’t pinned. At the 4:30 mark, Bentley turned Valentine’s finisher into a capture suplex. Bentley punished Valentines back. Valentine expended massive energy for a hiptoss escape only to get off by a great dropkick from Bentley. The crowd started a “Frankie” chant. Valentine was awesome fighting up from the bottom and Bentley was dishing out brutal punishment to keep him under his thumb. Out of nowhere, Valentine hit his finisher and Rave Approved piled into the ring for the DQ.

Bullets made the save and referee Stanley Robinson ordered a six man tag.

(8) Frankie Valentine & The Washington Bullets defeated Rave Approved (Chip Day & Corey Hollis & Patrick Bentley) in 14:02. The adrenaline must have been flowing for Trey because it was like he was shot out of a cannon on the opening dive. Bullets dominated with double teams early. Hollis and Valentine got into a wicked chop exchange, and Approved took advantage of Valentine’s worn down condition. Valentine got one of his legendary nosebleeds. He eventually forced a three way pile up of heels. The hot tag led into a round robin of big moves. Hollis ended up strapped to the tree of woe and Jon gave him a top rope double stomp. Trey tried for a coast-to-coast missile dropkick that would have brought the house down if it connected but he didn’t quite get there. Jon pinned Day after the wheelbarrow/running kick in the face. Just a stellar job of booking Bullets as a force to be reckoned with.

Lava came out. Jones played the race card and it was actually quite refreshing, because RPW so badly needs something with an edge to it. He told Lamont to get Fred Sanford out of the ring and made a few other shamelessly racist remarks. He chalked their tag team of the year award up to their momma and four step daddies stuffing the ballot box. Jones said Lava was all about cashing checks, snapping necks, and having what rhymes with check and necks.

RPW owner Doctor Johnny Gayton came to ringside. Jones called him a fisheyed fool. Gayton said Bullets impressed with their desire and had the ability to overcome Lava’s great physiques. He said Rock ‘n Roll Express took care of the Russians, and the Bullets could take care of Lava.  The match was made for February 12. Banks said it didn’t take a world class eye surgeon to see that HLL are the best tag team in Georgia.

(9) Drew Adler defeated “Marvelous” Michael Stevens (with Anthony Andrews) via DQ in .4:10. Adler got hung up on a high boot and Stevens hit a Zig Zag type move on him. Andrews interfered to further his partner’s case, but Stevens couldn’t put the resilient Adler away. The crowd was dead for this match, and I don’t fault the wrestlers in the least. Two hours without a break is asking for trouble. Adler hit the Air Raid Crash and Andrews jumped in for the DQ.

Sal made the save. Stanley Robinson then made his second tag match of the night.

(10) BFFs (Stevens & Andrews) beat Sal Rinauro & Drew Adler by DQ in 9:38. Match was built on Sal slapping the BFF’s silly. The crowd was so spent that this spark of inspiration made minimal difference. BFFs eventually got heat on Sal. Adler made a blind tag and hit a missile dropkick. His comeback was huge and the silence was weirdly deafening. He leveled Stevens with a high kick, and Andrews was there to break it up. Rinauro and Adler gave the BFFs a beating. Adler’s killer flip dive barely moved the needle. Andrews clocked Adler with a foreign object, but Stanley DQed Sal for shoving him. The fan response to this outrage was tepid outrage at best.

Cash Vault entered the ring minus Bobby Moore. NWA RPW Heavyweight Champion Jeremy Vain said demeaning things about Kyle Matthews. Vain said Matthews would have to go through Cash Vault to get to him, starting with Bobby Moore on February 12. Cash said Vain could hold the title until he was ready to give it up. Hmmm. He said Moore was away on Cash Vault business, so he had procured the services of an indomitable force --- Mikal Judas. This was a mind boggling shocker since Judas had been feuding with Cash Vault.

(11) Kyle Mathews & The Usual Suspects (Murder One & AJ Steele) defeated RPW Heavyweight Champion Jeremy Vain & Rob Adonis & Mikal Judas (with Charlie Cash) in 12:07. It was the terrific performance by Judas that made this special and gave the match such dramatic impact. The crowd came to life for this turn of events. Judas ignored Vain and Adonis. Vain tried to suck up to him but that went nowhere. Judas started with Steele and tagged out after pounding him with stiff blows. Suspects beat up on Adonis and Vain. Fans chanted “sell out” at Judas. Cash jumped up to block a Matthews tope and Adonis nailed him from behind. Vain and Adonis got heat on Matthews, while Judas paced along the apron with a scowl on his face. Matthews superkicked Vain into next week. Vain sold it like a knockout and Adonis had to a save him from being pinned. Suspects clotheslined Adonis out of the ring and beat his ass, while Judas watched with his hands on his hips. At the perfect moment, Judas leveled the Suspects with a double clothesline and it looked great. Vain was dying to tag Judas in. Judas sprayed him with the red mist. Matthews hit the slurpee kick and pinned the RPW Heavyweight Champion. Judas never tipped his hand until the swerve at the end. The finish got a big pop and sent the fans home happy.

Doc asked Vain if he needed an eye doctor, then proceeded to book Vain vs. triple crown winner J Rod on February 12.

NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling results for 1/22/2012.

by Daniel Lee Lumm

.

The turnout is impressive for the event, in the mid to high 90s when 3pm rolls around and more walking in afterwards. Officer Chris Jacobs is out interacting with the fans leading up to the show, conversing and signing autographs.

Rob Adonis (w/ Charlie Cash) vs Jacob Ashworth

Referee: Stan Robinson

Adonis starts off showing his superior size over Ashworth. Not too long into the match Adonis seems to have it won, but continously picks Ashworth up out of pins as to not finish him off too soon, much to the enjoyment of Manager Charlie Cash. When Ashworth finally gains a little momentum, he’s quickly laid out with a devastating Spinbuster and Adonis picks up the win.

Rob Adonis wins via pinfall

CB Gibson comes out to help Ashworth after the match but is also laid out by Adonis. Adonis and Cash celebrate briefly and leave.

Cru Jones vs Anthony Henry

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Cru starts the match using his strength to gain the advantage, and promptly showing off his physique afterwards. Henry tries to keep Cru grounded with holds to keep an advantage. The action spills to the outside with Henry trying to vault over the top rope with a crossbody, but Cru catches him and throws him against the apron. Cru gets a humorous reaction from the crowd after saying Henry was trying to make him look back on TV. A lot of back and forth happens and it looks like it could be anybody’s game, but Cru pulls the win with a Pumphandle Fallaway Slam.

Cru Jones wins via pinfall

Officer Chris Jacobs vs The Ninja

Referee: Stan Robinson

The match starts with a lot of back and forth showcasing some nice athleticism.  The fans are behind Jacobs constantly beckoning him to take Ninja’s mask off. Jacobs picks up the win with a running knee.

Officer Chris Jacobs win via pinfall

6-Man Tag Team Match with Rampage Rules

Corey Hollis & Patrick Bentley & “Do Or Die” Chip Day vs Anthony Henry & CB Gibson & Jacob Ashworth

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Ashworth shows an advantage over the Approved members early on with his size. The patch picks up in pace dramatically after Anthony Henry is tagged in. Approved take control of the match and show how well accustomed they are to 6-Man tag matches as well as clever use of the Rampage Rules, with CB being isolated from his corner.  Ashworth hot tags in (with Gibson rolling out) and starts taking control. It quickly turns into everyone storming into the ring. Approved shows the superior teaming ability by isolating each member of the opposing team and finishing off with Jacob Ashworth, using their triple top rope finish.

Corey Hollis & Patrick Bentley & “Do or Die” Chip Day

It’s noteworthy that Sal Rinauro comes out and joins Bill Behrens on commentary between matches.

BFF (“Marvelous” Michael Stevens & “Adorable” Anthony Andrews) vs The Washington Bullets (Jon Williams & Trey Williams)

Referee: Stan Robinson

The fans quickly show support for the Washington Bullets, and only get louder after some humorous double teaming tactics. The match steers from comedy to pure athleticism and the Washington Bullets do not disappoint their unfamiliar crowd. The tide turns when Marv helps Andrews isolate Jon in the ring. Trey hot tags in and takes on both Marv and Andrews. The Bullets take the match by first taking out Andrews with a Wheelburrow and Leg Lariot combination then taking Marv out with a Wheelburrow Legscissors and Shining Wizard.

Washington Bullets win via pinfall

Shaun Banks vs J-Rod

Referee: Dustin Robinson

The match starts with a fair amount of back and forth with comic relief from Banks. The fans are behind J-Rod as he gains the advantage of the match. Banks ends up using a series of illegal chokes holds using the ropes, ring apron, and even his scarf to a point that Referee Dustin Robinson seemed to be getting impatient and actually snatched the scarf and threw it from the ring. Cru Jones comes to the ring to show some moral support for Banks, but quickly becomes a distraction for J-Rod. J-Rod manages to pin Banks after a knee just to be attacked by Cru after the match.

J-Rod wins via pinfall

The Washington Bullets rush at the ring to make the save. Cru and Banks end up leaving, Banks hiding behind the Rampage Pro Wrestling banner on the way out. The Washington Bullets stay to celebrate with J-Rod.

NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling Television Title Match

Patrick Bentley vs Frankie Valentine (C)

Referee: Stan Robinson

The match starts off with some good athleticism from both competitors, ultimately culminating into an advantage for Valentine. Valentine holds the advantage with a series of submissions working down the left arm of Bentley. Bentley gains advantage and starts working down Valentine with submissions and takedowns, stopping numerous potential comebacks in their tracks. The match ends with Approved rushing out and attacking Valentine. The Washington Bullets come out to make the save and Referee Dustin Robinson informed Miss Allie that they will have a 6-Man Tag Team Match.

6-Man Tag

Washington Bullets & Frankie Valentine vs Jimmy Rave Approved

Referee: Dustin Robinson

Bullets and Valentine start with the advantage with them isolating Chip Day in the ring. The Bullets show some impressive tag team tactics early on, showcasing again why they’re Georgia’s number 1 tag team. After Valentine is tagged in, Approved briefly gains advantage, which ends with Valentine getting Trey back in the ring. It’s slightly ironic that Approved gains advantage yet again once Valentine becomes the legal man, but this time they successfully isolate him away from his corner. The fans continuously show support for Frankie and just as he seems to start gaining momentum, he’s quickly shut down by Approved. Valentine fights out and hot tags in Jon. The match quickly turns into an all-out brawl between Approved, Valentine, and the Bullets. In the end, the Bullets and Valentine pick up the win with the Wheelburrow Legscissors and Shining Wizard combo on Chip Day.

The Washington Bullets & Frankie Valentine win via pinfall

After the match, Hot Like Lava comes out to cut a promo against the Washington Bullets and goes on to say that the Bullets aren’t on their level with a series of insults. They are interrupted by Doc Gayton who goes on to say that the Bullets can take on Hot Like Lava and goes on to say that they will be having a tag team match against each other on February 12th.

“Marvelous” Michael Stevens (w/ Anthony Andrews) vs Drew Adler

Referee: Stan Robinson

The match starts with Adler getting his hands on Marv’s boas and Andrews’s headband. When they go on to demonstrate how to properly show off their attire, Adler capitalizes on knocking Andrews to the giard rail and quickly starting the match with the advantage over the marvelous one. Andrews doesn’t hesitate to attacking Adler behind a distracted ref when able. Right as Adler is about to pick up a victory, Andrews attacks him to warrant a disqualification.

Drew Adler wins via disqualification

Almost immediately after the match ends Sal Rinauro rushes in and the 4 start a tag team match by the demand of the crowd.

Sal Rinauro & Drew Adler vs BFF (“Marvelous” Michael Stevens & “Adorable” Anthony Andrews)

Referee: Stan Robinson

The match starts aggressive with Sal and Adler holding the early advantage. Sal has a comical and somewhat insulting (for the opponents) offense that does well to entertain the crowd. BFF eventually takes over and isolates Sal from Adler. Adler blind tags in to take advantage for his team. As everything starts to become less chaotic, Referee Stan Robinson gets on to Sal to get out of the ring since he’s the illegal man and Andrews, using the distracted ref, hits Adler with a bucket. Sal pushes the ref aside to come to Adler’s aid and the referee disqualifies him.

BFF wins via disqualification.

My laptop battery got too low to record the results of the last match. Please refer to the review by Larry Goodman of Georgia Wrestling History for a more detailed report of the match. The match saw Kyle Matthews and the Usual Suspects (Murder One & AJ Steele) defeat Rob Adonis, Jeremy Vain, and Mikael Judas (who turned on them) who were accompanied by Manager Charlie Cash.

NWA ProSouth Heavyweight Champion: Tyler Gage

NWA ProSouth All-Out Champion: Mike Posey

NWA ProSouth Tag Team Champions: "The Prodigy" Daniel Alexander & Big Tomb

RESULTS 1-20

Gene Jackson came out to mock Mark Grason, who he, Outlaw, and Big Tomb

had sent home in an ambulance last week!  Jackson  also had two e-mails,

one from Terry Batey and the other from local NWA rep Brice Anderson.

Terry Batey had attempted to get the leader of the EPIC Alliance fires and

he succeeded!  Much to the dismay of the Piedmont crowd,  Brice Anderson

had considered “Epic” Grant Mitchell as the leader of the EPIC Alliance,

not Gene Jackson and terminated Grant’s contract.

“Future Classic” Tyler Gage and &”Awesome” Scott Spade came out and

demanded their tag match for tonight was for the ProSouth Tag Team Titles

and that it would start immediately!

Match #1: NWA ProSouth Tag Team Champions “the Prodigy” Daniel Alexander &

Big Tomb retained their titles against “Future Classic” Tyler Gage and

“Awesome” Scott Spade.

The match started with amazing team work from Gage and Spade, however, Big

Tomb and Daniel Alexander managed to isolate Spade and work on his leg

which was injured in last week’s action.  Spade held on, found daylight

and made the tag to Gage.  Gage came in and totally controlled the ring.

With time to recuperate, Spade tagged in and after a short series of moves

saw the opportunity to deliver the Copenhagen Kick to Daniel Alexander.

Spade gets a slow 3 count and we have new Tag Champs!   As celebration

erupted, the referee, Toby, pulls Daniels foot over the bottom rope and

calls for the match to continue as there no pin.

Immediately Big Tomb knocks Gage off the ring apron into the barricade and

presses Spade overhead to setup the brutal clothesline from Daniel

Alexander to complete the Doomsday Device and pick up the pin.

Post match just got worse for Scott Spade as Tomb and Daniel sent Spade

into the barricade and Big Tombs caps it off with the Chocolate Avalanche.

Daniel adds the sidewinder and Scott Spade is left only to leave the ring

assisted by  ProSouth referees.

Match #2: The undefeated Dakota Outlaw w/ Gene Jackson destroyed  Eli

Daniels.

Newcomer Eli Daniels looked to make an inst-name for himself here at NWA

ProSouth by defeating Dakota Outlaw. Stiff kicks and a fiery heart gave

Eli Daniels an early advantage, but a missed Moonsault by the rookie

allowed veteran  Dakota Outlaw to decimate Eli with the Black Hole Slam

immediately afterwards.  Dakota’s undefeated streak remains un

interrupted!

Match #3:  Frankie “So Fine” Valentine got the victory in an incredible

match with “Independent Standout: Jeremy Flynt.

Both men needed to pick up this win as this was Frankie’s 2nd match back

at NWA ProSouth and Jeremy’s 1st NWA ProSouth match in almost 2 years.

Each man brought their game to the ring and had the crowd on their feet!

After a series of moves and counters, Frankie planted Heremy with his

finishing Codebreaker variation for the win!

ProSouth Antagonist, Gene Jackson returned to the ring brandishing his

ever guarded briefcase and demanded Terry Batey come out to answer his

challenge form the previous week.  After several minutes of verbal

warfare, with the crowd screaming for Terry not to trust Gene,  Terry and

Gene negotiated a match which if Dakota Outlaw wins, Dakota would earn the

next opportunity at the ProSouth Title.  But If Dakota Outlaw loses, Gene

Jackson has to relinquish possession of the briefcase to Terry Batey.

After Gene Jackson agreed to the terms, he demanded which ProSouth

Wrestler would represent Terry Batey on Feb 3rd at the Valentine’s Day

Massacre.  Playing to Gene’s over confident ego, Terry Batey states that

with Dakota’s undefeated streak, does it really matter? And told Gene he

would find out who Terry Batey would select next Friday.

Match #4, Main Event:   Six Man Tag!  Total Justice ( “Future Classic”

Tyler Gage, “The Last Hero” Ace Haven , & “Stinger” Shawn Seagle  defeated

the EPIC Alliance (Dakota Outlaw, “the Prodigy” Daniel Alexander, & Big

Tomb).

Total Justice hit the ring with angry eyes over the unnecessary injury of

“Awesome” Scott Spade! As the six men  brawled in the ring, the Alliance

to take a walk and pick another day to battle. However, each Alliance

member was with Over the Top Dives from the members of Total Justice! As

Ace Haven & Tyler Gage rolled into the ring, they realized the referee for

their match was non other than traitor Toby! Toby was immediately crushed

with a Russian Leg Sweep/ STO combination and a new ref was sent to the

ring!

Meantime, the Alliance was working on “Stinger”, but he managed to get

enough daylight to make the tag to bring in Ace Haven.  Ace Haven

immediately goes to work on the legal Alliance member, Daniel Alexander

and has advantage as Big Tomb hits Ace from behind before Ace has time to

attempt the pin. As Ace Haven & Daniel Alexander get to their feet, Ace

hits his Corkscrew Senton on Daniel and gets the opportunity to tag in

Tyler Gage.  Gage attacks Big Tomb with several vicious strikes but a

countering Crossbody left back first on the mat! Stinger comes in to break

up an impeding pin and chaos ensues!   With all  six men in the ring,

Total Justice pick up the win with a combo from Gage and Haven!

Before anyone has time to leave the ring, Brian Alexander, “Alexander the

Great”, attacked exhausted Tyler Gage and leveled him with a Powerbomb!

The arena went dark for about 5 seconds and when the lights came back on,

Brandon Collum was in the ring destroying everyone in his path before

Brian Alexander attempted to clothesline Brandon.   As Brandon ducked the

clothesline, Tyler Gage spent his last energy hitting Brian Alexander with

his Spinebuster!   For the first time in months, Total Justice was left

standing while the EPIC Alliance was on the ground!

Results for DSCW/NWA 1/21/12 show in Ellijay, Ga

241 exuberant fans overflowed the Gilmer Couny Civic Center in Ellijay, Ga on 1/21/12.

The first match of the evening was Blue Ridge's one and only Ray Ray taking on the Crash Test Dummy in a light weight division match this was a good match which could have possibly been the best match of the evening. At the 9:08 mark CTD hit Ray Ray with the Total impact which is a version of the Razors Edge for the victory.

The second match of the evening was a Three Way Dance between Shawn Bell, The Bad Boy Tork and Ellijay very Dave Diamond. This was a great match for a Three Way Dance. Dave Diamond gets the win at the 12:15 mark when Diamond hits both opponents with Spine Busters.

The following match Was The All-Star tagging with the Black Menace against fan favorite The Scorpion tagging with legend Rock & Roll Express's Ricky Morton ascorted to the ring by Semper Fi Cody Roberts.  The fans were getting behing their favorite team by chanting "Rock and Roll" hroughout the match.  At the eleven minute mark, a melee broke out with all four men in the ring exchanging blows.  The Scorpion and The All-Star squared off the middle of the ring while Ricky Morton and The Menace were in the corner dukeing it out.  Scorpion and All Star collided heads, knocking each other unconscious.    The Menace arranged the scene to make it look as though All-Star had The Scorpiohn pinned.  Before the Ref could see the scene, Semper Fi redirected the ref’s attention, slipped in the ring and rearranged the unconscious pair so that it now looked as though Scorpion had The All-Star pinned.  Ricky Morton & The Scorpion took the win and the crowd went wild.

The fourth match of the evening was a title match for the DSCW Heavy Weight Title between All -Business Brian Rivers, 2 year reigning champion, accompanied by manager Logan Chase III, against Chip Hazard in a bull-rope match.  Fifteen minutes into the match, things started to get out of control.  Logan Chase III jumped onto the ring apron and hit Chip Hazard on his back with a tennis racket.  River’s capitalized on the opportunity for the win.  Promoter, Big Wood, came into the ring and stated that he was tired of Logan interfering with the matches and gave Hazard an opportunity at another shot at the title.  He would have to beat Rivers with-in 5 minutes to get that chance at a rematch.  As the 5 minute challenge got under way, Rivers got the upper hand and was going to run Hazard into the tennis racket of Logan Chase.  Hazard ducked at the last second and Logan knocked out his boy, Rivers.  Hazard won the challenge and gets another shot at the Heavy Weight title at the up-coming Valentine’s Vengeance show in Blue Ridge, GA on February 4th.

The Main Event of the evening was also a title match with the win going to the first to 2 out of 3 falls for the Light-Heavy Weight DSCW title.  The match was between the current champion, The Messiah Talon Williams against challenger Mr. Showtime.  The house was rocking throughout the match with chants of “What Time is it? – SHOWTIME!”.   Showtime won the first fall in 1 minute 12 seconds with a small package.  The second fall went to the champion at 9 minutes 18 seconds to even the score at 1 – 1.  The third and final fall went to the challenger, Mr. Showtime around the 7 minute mark when Talon tapped out to an ankle lock.  The crowd jumped to their feet and blew the roof off the building with their cheers and congratulations.

We would like to thank Ricky Morton for working with NWA/Chattanooga and NWA/DSCW over the past two days.

Our next show will be on February 4th at Fannin County High School in Blue Ridge, GA.  Join us for Valentine’s Vengeance!  Bell-time 7pm.

NWA CHATTANOOGA

"a Scenic City Tradition."

 NWA Chattanooga results from 1/20/12

Attendence was 225.

1) Corey Hollis def. Logan Alvey via pinfall

2) Dru Delight def Brandon Collins via pinfall

3) Ace Rockwell def Chip Day after interference from Corey Hollis backfired when Rockwell's protege Logan Alvey evened the odds.
- The Scenic City Hall Of Fame ceremony occurred with announcer Scott Hensley giving a detailed title history and bringing out the presenters for each inductee.

- Longime NWA official Charlie Smith presented the award to Joyce Grable
- Chattanooga media fixture, and long time News Channel 9 weatherman Bill Race presented the award to Pat Rose
- ESPN Radio Chattanooga host Nick Bonstanto presented the award to Ricky Morton.

Tune in to "This and That" with Don Welch on Monday 1/23/12, ABC affiliate WTCV News Channel 9 at 12:30 PM for a special look at the ceremony. We will also post the highlights later this week. It was clear that the recognition meant a great deal to each of the legends. Both Rose and Grable were nearly moved to tears stating what the Hall Of Fame distinction meant to them with Rose exclaiming "THIS is MY WWE Hall of Fame!" and Grable stating that "no one knew exactly how much this meant to her". Ricky Morton told all the fans that without them, he wouldn't wouldn't have existed.

As Morton was wrapping up his acceptance speech The Juggernauts crashed the party. Juggernaut #2 stated that yes, the rumors were true...there were two Juggernauts and this was the perfect time for them to debut. It was great that the legends were being honored, but they were the past and The Juggernauts were the future. He said it was time they made their name at Ricky Morton's expense. The two mammoth Juggernauts circled Morton when Jessco Blue came out to make things fair. Morton said he didn't come here for a fight but he was always ready for one and he just so happened to know a thing or two about tag team wrestling , so he proposed that the Juggernauts put their money where their mouths were and face he and Blue in a tag bout. Management saw fit to honor the legend's request on his night and sent a ref to make it official.

4) Ricky Morton & Jessco Blue defeated The Juggernauts via DQ reverse decision. Juggernaut #1 actually pinned Morton in the match with the aid of the loaded mask. Hall Of Famers Pat Rose ande Joyce Grable quickly let the referee know what happened, and official James Rhodes found the foreign object. The Juggernauts attempt at a post match sneak attack was thwarted with Rose and Grable both clocking a masked man, and Morton and Blue topped it off by clearing the ring with the old R'N'R staple, the double dropkick.

5) Andrew Alexander defeated Jessco Blue,Kyle Matthews and Bryan Casanova in the 4 Way Match for a shot at ANY title at ANY time after hitting the piledriver on Blue. This was a hard fought contest, but the beating Blue took at the hands of the Juggernauts may have cost him. Matthews appeared to be the favorite in the match, and almost secured victory but Alexander's calculating coniving let Matthews score a victory blow, and tossed him out of the ring and drove the nail home himself. This bout settled one thing...Andrew Alexander will now get a shot at any title of his choice at any time he likes. But the issues, both between Casanova and Blue and Matthews and Alexander are far from solved.

6) Shaun Tempoers defeated Patrick Bentley in a near 30 minute 2/3 falls contest to settle their rivalry once and for all. This was a true classic style championship bout. They battled back and forth for almost 20 minutes before the first fall was scored, which Tempers did after dropping Bentley ribs first on the steel turnbuckle. There was a 30 second rest period between falls, and Bentley was still unable to rise, so the ref began the count. Tempers continued to pound the obviously injured Bentley, but out of nowhere Bentley was able to level the playing field by hitting the 360 Piledriver and scoring the 2nd fall. This time, both men struggled to reach their feet after the rest period and it was anybodys match. In a true display of how well they'd scouted each other from previous matches, Tempers went for the tiger driver, Bentley blocked it went for the hurricanrana, Tempers countered with the tiger driver for a near fall. Bentley countered the hangman's neckbreaker with a backslide for a 2.9 of his own, and then hit the Spring action kick for a 2.9999. Bentley went to finish it off with the 360 piledriver, but Tempers was able to shoot a last second double leg and cradle for the completely unexpected 3 count.

7) Tank defeated Se7en via pinfall in a bloody, hard hitting and brutal dog collar match to retain the NWA Southeastern title. This was two of the biggest and baddest men in the NWA laying it all on the line in a blood bath. It started at an even keel, and Tank took over showing his experience advantage in this type of match. Se7en's incredible pain tolerance allowed him to withstand this onslaught though and a clever move of removing his collar and tieing it to the top rope allowed Se7en to come within inches of dethroning the champion, but once Tank was able to break free and create a bionic lariat by wrapping the chain around his arm, and Se7en was unable to kick out after that almost super human blow.

It was announced that the return date for Soddy Daisy Middle School is 2/17/12 will feature a Triple Threat match with all titles on the line featuring NWA Southeastern Champion: Tank, NWA North American Champion: Shaun Tempers, and former NWA Southern Champion: Ace Rockwell. These are three men who's careers and destinies have been intertwined for a decade, but never have the stakes been so high. All close friends at one point, all bitter enemies at another point, all have carved their own paths, and on 2/17/12 only one can emerge victorious.
