Bellator officials today announced a rematch between finalists Eric Prindle (7-1) and Thiago Santos (10-1), for Bellator 61 in March.
The first bout between these two ended in a no contest when Santos delivered a low blow to a downed Prindle, and Prindle was unable to continue. While many believed the fight should have been a disqualification, the bout was instead ruled a no contest, and the promotion announced a rematch would happen at a future date.
The winner of this fight receives $100,000 and a title fight against Bellator heavyweight champion, Cole Konrad.
Bellator 61 takes place on March 16 at the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City, La.
