As first reported by MMAWeekly.com, former Sengoku and DREAM fighter Eiji Mitsuoka has stepped in to face "The Fireball Kid" at UFC 144.
Mitsuoka (18-7-2) most recently defeated Bruno Carvalho at DREAM: Fight For Japan in July and is riding the strength of a two fight winning streak. Gomi (32-8) is on the wrong end of a two fight streak of his own, suffering losses in his last two bouts via submission to Clay Guida and Nate Diaz.
UFC 144: Edgar vs Henderson takes place at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on February 26th.
