1/28- CWE Power Struggle: 3 Year Anniversary Show Results Results for CWE's 3 Year Anniversary Show in Winnipeg, MB on January 27th, 1) Carter Mason pinned Tommy Lee Curtis in very controversial fashion when referee Kat Von Heez counted three when it had appeared TLC had kicked out. 2) "Pimp Daddy" Rick Matthews picked the returning JJ Sanchez to be his tag team partner claiming JJ had lost his girlfriend, his dog, and CD sales just weren't the same and was throwing his old friend a bone. The duo then defeated Tyler Colton and B. Brian Rich. 3) Bubble McFly pinned Ike Idol in a special bonus match. Following the match an unidentified man attacked McFly. As the assault occurred Kevin Cannon arrogantly walked to the ring informing fans they were witnessing the most violent, unpredictable, and unstable man on the planet and that everyone should be afraid. The man then violently dropped McFly on his head with a top rope DDT. 4) Size Matters, Zack Mercury and The Axe beat the Murder City Saints Nate Hardy and Darian Karisma. Following the match The Axe made a statement on Karisma with two big splashes. 5) The Sons of Anarchy, Mike Mission and "Big" Cliff Corleone were declared the winners due to referee stoppage in a non sanctioned bout with The Original Thug Crew of Spyder and Darren Dalton. With the OTC in control a man concealing his identity handcuffed to the ropes. The three men then zip tied Dalton's hands and hit him with multiple shots to the head. They then took a steel chain and strangled him until the referee had to stop the match in fear of Dalton's life. 6) The AOD's Moses Luke issued an open challenge for his 123Approved.ca Open Rules championship to any CWE loyalist. "The Brickhouse" Paul Arcidi made his long awaited return and shocked everyone in attendance and Moses Luke defeating "The German Juggernaut" in 10 seconds to capture the title. 7) Matt Fairlane in a career defining moment pinned former WWE Intercontinental champion Val Venis. Following the contest Venis commended Fairlane for being of the toughest men he's stepped in the ring against and offered his respect to Fairlane. The disrespectful Fairlane attacked Venis and left him laying with his go to piledriver on a steel chair. 8) CWE Tag Team champions Team Impact, Robby Royce and Anderson Tyson Moore retained their tag team titles against AJ Sanchez and Kevy Chevy the Big Sexy Beasts. With the BSB hitting their finishing move while the referee was down, referee Kat Von Heez came in and made a two count and before making the three stopped. When Sanchez confronted her she kicked him in the groin allowing Royce to hit a Canadian Destroyer on Sanchez for the win. 9) "Hotshot" Danny Duggan became the first man in 3 years to pin CWE Champion Mentallo following a Cruel Summer double knee drop to win the CWE Title and regain the company in CWE's control from the AOD.
