George Sotiropoulos has been injured during training and has been forced to bow out from UFC 144, he was scheduled to face Takanori Gomi. This fight was scheduled to be on the evenings preliminary card, which has yet to have its broadcast plans announced. Takanori Gomi will now face Eiji Mitsouka, who is a veteran of the Sengoku promotion. UFC 144 will take place on February 25th in Saitama, Japan and it will be the first UFC event in Japan in over a decade.
