It was announced by FTC Secretary Donald S. Clark that the investigation into Zuffa’s business practices has been closed and no penalties will be handed out. The issues arose last March when Zuffa purchased the California based Strikeforce promotion, which was originally owned and operated by Scott Coker. Recently UFC President Dana White said that any attempt for the government to look into their business practices would eventually end in failure. The UFC returns to action on February 4th with UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit, featuring Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit battling it out for the UFC Interim Welterweight Title.
