A pivotal light heavyweight clash is set for an unnamed May 15th UFC event as Thiago Silva will once again clash with Brandon Vera. These two first fought at UFC 125, where Thiago Silva defeated Brandon Vera by unanimous decision, but Silva was then busted for a failed drug test. The failed drug test resulted in Silva being suspended for one year and the fight being turned into a no contest. Brandon Vera has competed once in the UFC since that fight, defeating Eliot Marshall by unanimous decision at UFC 137.
