The season six welterweight tournament will begin at Bellator 63, which takes place on March 30th at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The tournament was originally going to feature UFC veteran War Machine, but a pending prison stay has cost him his tournament spot. The tournament will now feature Karl Amoussou versus Chris Lozano, Raul Amaya versus Ben Saunders, Brian Foster versus David Rickels and Bryan Baker versus Carlos Pereira.
