ANDERSON SILVA VS. CHAEL SONNEN II ANNOUNCED

During the UFC 143 post fight press conference, UFC President Dana White announced that the highly anticipated rematch between UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen for a June UFC event in Brazil. The two fighters first fought at UFC 117, where Anderson Silva defeated Chael Sonnen by submission with a triangle choke in the fifth round. After that fight, Chael Sonnen failed a drug test and was suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for a year.

Anderson Silva has only fought once since UFC 117, defeating Japanese fighter Yushin Okami by TKO at UFC 134. Chael Sonnen has fought twice since returning from suspension, defeating Brian Stann by submission and Michael Bisping by decision.
