SHINYA AOKI VS EDDIE ALVAREZ 2 EXPECTED FOR BELLATOR 66

Heavily rumored for sometime, it appears that a rematch years in the making, is finally going to happen.

MMAJunkie.com, Shinya Aoki, and former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez have verbally agreed to meet at Bellator 66 in April.
Alvarez (22-3), most recently competed at Bellator 58, losing his title to Michael Chandler. Before that, Alvarez dominated Bellator's lightweight division, holding the title for over two years. Aoki (30-5 1NC), most recently defeated Satoru Kitaoka by unanimous decision. The crafty grappler has put together a seven fight win streak since a loss to Gilbert Melendez in 2010, although it should be noted that he was knocked out in a mixed rules bout against Yuichiro Nagashima at Dynamite!! 2010.
Bellator 66 takes place April 20, although no location or venue have been secured as of yet.
