An injury has forced Yves Edawrds out of a planned bout with lightweight standout Donald Cerrone at the upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 3 event in May.
As MMAJunkie.com first reported, veteran Jeremy Stephens will be stepping in for Edwards against Cerrone.
Stephens (20-7), most recently dropped a unanimous decision to the now lightweight contender Anthony Pettis at UFC 136. Cerrone (17-4), was tearing through the lightweight division until he was dominated by UFC on FOX 3 headliner Nate Diaz at UFC 141 in December.
UFC on FUEL 3 takes place May 15 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, and is headlined by a featherweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung.
