BLAGOI IVANOV STABBED, CLINGING TO LIFE

Bellator heavyweight Blagoi Ivanov has won every fight in his MMA career, but he currently faces a much tougher fight.
Over the weekend, the Bulgarian fighter was attacked by a group of men at a bar in Sofia, Bulgaria, and remains in critical condition after being stabbed.
"Right now, we do not have all of the details, but our thoughts and prayers are with Blagoi and his family," Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said in a statement released today.
The stabbing took place after an incident took place, reportedly over a woman, led to a group of eight men armed with bats and knives attacking Ivanov and a group of friends in the bar. Blagoi suffered a stab wound under his armpit, and the blade, unfortunately, pierced his heart. He underwent surgery to repair the wound, but is on artificial life support at the time of this writing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ivanov and his family at this time.
