Fight #7 - UFC Middleweight Division Fight

Court McGee (13-1-0) vs. Constantinos Philippou (9-2-0-1NC)

Round One

The round begins with McGee catching a dancing Philippou with a right, Philippou then catches McGee with a two punch combination. Philippou follows it up by nailing McGee with a right uppercut, Philippou then pops McGee with a counter right. Philippou then charges at McGee while throwing some strikes, McGee then starts attacking Philippou with leg kicks. Philippou then catches a kicking McGee with a counter right, McGee then tries to slow Philippou down with a switch kick and left hook. McGee follows it up by popping Philippou with a short left, McGee then rocks Philippou with another left as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Philippou quickly popping McGee with a left hook, both fighters then just start swinging wildly at each other. Philippou gets the upper hand by nailing McGee with a right, both fighters then start working the jab on each other. Philippou then quickly blocks a McGee takedown attempt, Philippou then barely connects with a right on McGee. McGee responds by landing a switch kick on Philippou, Philippou then blocks a McGee takedown attempt by nailing him with a right and knee strike. Philippou then connects with a left on McGee and eating a body kick, Philippou then catches an incoming McGee with an uppercut. Philippou follows that up by landing yet another uppercut on McGee, McGee responds by attempting a spinning elbow strike, both fighters swing at each other as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Philippou immediately punching the body of McGee, Philippou then hits a charging McGee with a two punch combination. McGee responds by landing a punching combination of his own, McGee then accidentally kicks Philippou in the groin and the fight is briefly halted. The fight resumes with McGee forcing Philippou up against the cage wall, McGee then scores a brief takedown on Philippou. Philippou quickly stands up and he eats a body kick from McGee, McGee then barely connect with a flying knee strike to Philippou. McGee eats a big left from Philippou after landing a leg kick, both fighters then simultaneously pop each other with lefts. McGee then continues to back Philippou up with some kicks, Philippou responds by catching McGee with some leg kicks. McGee then powers Philippou up against the cage wall, the fighters separate and McGee attempts a spinning back fist as the round ends.

Fight Result: Constantinos Philippou def. Court McGee by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Fight #8 - UFC Flyweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Demetrious Johnson (14-2-0) vs. Ian McCall (11-2-0)

Referee: Leon Roberts

Round One

The round begins with Johnson immediately attacking McCall with leg kicks, Johnson then pops McCall with a right. McCall then scores a takedown on Johnson and he gets the half guard, McCall then starts attacking Johnson with ground and pound. Johnson finds a way to escape and he gets on top of McCall, the fighters stand up and both fighters just start swinging at each other. Johnson then lands a wild left to the face of McCall, McCall then scores a takedown on Johnson and they both get back up quickly. McCall then pops a charging Johnson with a short right, Johnson then pops McCall with a hard right during a leg kick catch. Johnson then eats a few strikes as he works towards a takedown, McCall then lands a few leg kicks as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with both fighters exchanging a few leg kicks, Johnson then rocks McCall with a punching combination. Johnson then nails McCall with a left after eating a leg kick, Johnson then connects with a few rights on McCall. McCall then accidentally kicks Johnson in the testicles and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with Johnson attacking McCall with leg kicks. Both fighters then start swinging wildly at each other in the center of the octagon, McCall then kicks Johnson in the bread basket. McCall then powers Johnson up against the cage wall, McCall then lands a few strikes before the fighters separate. Both fighters then exchange knee strikes and punches while on the cage wall, Johnson then catches McCall with a kick to the body. The fighters again exchange knee strikes while on the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with both fighters exchanging leg kicks, Johnson then starts charging at McCall while throwing punches. Johnson then catches McCall with a ton of strikes as he was checking for a low blow, McCall then catches Johnson with a knee while on the cage wall. McCall then scores a takedown on Johnson and he gets the half guard, Johnson then uses a scramble to get the fight standing. McCall then scores another takedown on Johnson and he gets back control, McCall then starts attacking Johnson with some ground and pound. McCall then lands a knee strike before they scramble to their feet, Johnson then lands a push kick on McCall. McCall then scores another takedown on Johnson and he gets the half guard, McCall then transitions to full mount on Johnson. McCall then starts attacking Johnson with some ground and pound, McCall then gets back control while landing more strikes as the round ends.

Fight Result: Demetrious Johnson def. Ian McCall by majority decision (29-28, 28-29, 28-29)

Post fight interview with Demetrious Johnson, who says that Ian McCall is a tough opponent and he thought that he won the first two rounds.

Fight #9 - UFC Flyweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight

Joseph Benavidez (15-2-0) vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani (19-4-6)

Round One

The round begins with both fighters attempting some kicks, Benavidez then starts landing some leg kicks on Urushitani. Benavidez then lands a two punch combination on Urushitani after eating a leg kick, Benavidez then catches Urushitani with a hook. Benavidez then powers Urushitani up against the cage wall while landing knee strikes, Benavidez then lands a shoulder toss before connecting with a knee strike to the head of Urushitani. Benavidez then scores a takedown on Urushitani and he gets the half guard, Benavidez then transitions to side control on Urushitani. Benavidez then quickly moves to full mount and then back control on Urushitani, Benavidez locks in a rear naked choke as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Benavidez immediately dropping Urushitani with a right hook, Benavidez follows it up with ground and pound until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Joseph Benavidez def. Yasuhiro Urushitani by TKO via strikes (0:11, R2)

Post fight interview with Joseph Benavidez, who says he will bring power to the division and it’s a dream come true to compete for the title.

Main Event - UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Thiago Alves (24-7-0) vs. Martin Kampmann (18-5-0)

Round One

The round begins with Alves quickly landing legs kicks on Kampmann, Kampmann then goes for a takedown and Alves nails him with several strikes. Kampmann then briefly took Alves to the ground, Kampmann then rocks Alves with a push kick to the face. Kampmann then scores a takedown on Alves and he gets the half guard, the fighters stand up and Alves lands a knee strike on Kampmann. Kampmann then powers Alves against the cage wall while landing knee strikes, Alves then scores a takedown on Kampmann and he gets the open guard. Alves then transitions to side control on Kampmann, Kampmann then forces Alves into the half guard position. Alves then transitions to full mount on Kampmann, Alves then starts peppering Kampmann with ground and pound. Kampmann finds a way to break free as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Alves backing up Kampmann with kicks, Alves then catches a charging Kampmann with a straight right. Kampmann then powers Alves up against the cage wall for a short time, Alves then catches Kampmann with a two punch combination. Alves then catches Kampmann with a counter left after eating two punches, Alves then nails Kampmann with a few punching combinations. Alves then blocks a Kampmann takedown attempt, Alves then starts attacking Kampmann with leg kicks. Alves then rocks Kampmann with a solid right to the face, Alves follows it up with a few more rights and a left hook. Kampmann recovers to catches Alves with a knee strike, Kampmann then powers Alves up against the cage wall as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Kampmann attempting a high kick on Alves, both fighters then start swinging wildly at each other before battling on the cage wall. Kampmann then charges at Alves and lands a series of strikes, Kampmann then catches Alves with a right. Alves responds by landing a kick to the belly area of Kampmann, Kampmann then charges at Alves and lands a knee strike. Alves responds by popping Kampmann with two lefts, Kampmann then hits Alves with a two punch combination. Alves then resumes his leg kick attack on Kampmann, Alves then rocks Kampmann with a counter right. Alves then goes for a takedown on Kampmann and gets caught in a guillotine choke that forces a tap out.

Fight Result: Martin Kampmann def. Thaigo Alves by submission via guillotine choke (4:12, R3)

Post fight interview with Martin Kampmann, who says mockingly that he was doing great and that Thiago Alves was tough to takedown.
