Just the thought of being in the ring with Wes Brisco brings back so many memories. My first match as NWA World Champion against Wes’s Uncle Jack Brisco was at Miami Convention Hall. We wrestled to a one hour time limit draw. In the audience that night Eddie Graham was sitting next to Vince McMahon Sr. After the match Eddie came back to the dressing room and told me the following. “As the match reached the 55 minute mark, Eddie leaned over to Vince and said, “Can you imagine all this heat and they have yet to even throw a punch?"
