It is with a heavy heart that we here at IWR Wrestling and REVOLUCHA announce that our long time friend, co-creator and ring announcer Ron "Showtime" Stewart has passed away.
Ron began as a Michigan wrestling hotline host in the 90's along with Sir Robert Hanley, hosting the now famed Pro Wrestling Revolution hotline in the days before the internet ruled as the news highway for "smart" wrestling fans.
Ron would later team up with frequent hotline callers and guests Josh Movado and Bubba Mackenzie (of the Bump-N-Uglies tag team and band of the same name), and "Maniac" George Morbid to create the original Independent Wrestling Revolution in the early 2000's in suburban Detroit. The IWR would later morph into the innovative REVOLUCHA DVD series produced in Detroit pairing top Michigan indie talent with some of biggest legends in Mexican Lucha Libre.
Ron Showtime served as the main ring announcer on all of these cards, whipping crowds into a frenzy with a ferocious, thunderous voice that seemed impossible to have eminated from his small frame.
He truly loved the sport of professional wrestling and was universally respected in the midwest wrestling community by fans, wrestlers and promoters. Ron Showtime will be sorley missed in our small, but loyal independent wrestling scene here in Michigan.
Memories and photos can be found and posted on Ron's Facebook page at

We ask that you please keep any posts respectful. Funeral can be found below.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Stewart family in their time of mourning.
Ron " Showtime " Stewart
