Fight #4 - Bellator Bantamweight Tournament Opening Round Fight
Rodrigo Lima (10-0-0) vs. Hiroshi Nakamura (14-5-4)
Referee: Yves Lavigne
Round One
The round begins with both fighters coming out swinging, Nakamura then scores a takedown on Lima and he gets the open guard. Nakamura then starts attacking Lima with some hammer fists, Lima also lands a few strikes from his back. Nakamura continues to land his ground and pound as well on Lima, Nakamura postures up and Lima attacks him with up kicks. Nakamura dives back into the guard of Lima before posturing up again, Lima uses a sweep to get the fight standing. Lima then accidentally lands a knee strike to the balls of Nakamura, the fight resumes with Lima landing a flying knee strike and several rights on Nakamura. Lima pulls guard on Nakamura as the round ends.
Round Two
The round begins with Lima accidentally kneeing Nakamura in the testicles again, the referee deducts a point from Lima. The fight resumes with Nakamura catching Lima with a right, Nakamura then scores a takedown on Lima and he gets the butterfly guard. Nakamura then advances to the half guard on Lima, Lima then forces Nakamura back into his full guard. Lima rolls for an arm bar and Nakamura escapes, Nakamura continues to attack Lima with a lot of hammer fists. Both guys then exchange some hammer fists from the top and bottom positions, Lima then rolls for a series of omaplatas on Nakamura. The fighters go for leg locks as the round ends.
Round Three
The round begins with Lima rocking Nakamura with a few knee strikes, Nakamura then scores a takedown on Lima and he gets side control. Lima then goes for a series of submissions on the arm of Nakamura, Nakamura eventually gets into the guard of Lima. Nakamura then starts attacking Lima with a few hammer fists, Nakamura then transitions to the half guard on Lima. Nakamura then starts attacking Lima with a lot of ground and pound, Lima and Nakamura then go for foot locks on each other. The referee stands the fighters up after inactivity and Nakamura gets standing back control on Lima, both fighters rolls for foot locks as the round ends.
Fight Result: Hiroshi Nakamura def. Rodrigo Lima by unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27)
Post fight interview with Hiroshi Nakamura, who says this was his first time competing in North America and that made his uncomfortable early on.
Fight #5 - Bellator Bantamweight Tournament Opening Round Fight
Travis Marx (18-3-0) vs. Masakatsu Ueda (15-1-2)

Round One
The round begins with Marx attacking Ueda early with leg kicks, Marx then barely connects with a left on Ueda. Marx follows that up by landing a kick to the body of Ueda, Marx then scores a hard takedown on Ueda and he gets back control. Ueda locks in a kimura out of Marx for a near submission, Marx then winds up in the half guard of Ueda after the failed submission. Marx then starts attacking Ueda with some ground and pound, the fighters stand up and Marx lands a body punch. Ueda then lands a kick to the midsection of Marx as the round ends.
Round Two
The round begins with Marx landing a kick to the rib cage of Ueda, Ueda then scores a takedown after catching the kick from Marx. Marx powers his way to the feet with Ueda holding onto him, Ueda pulls guard and Marx gets the half guard on him. Marx then gets back control on Ueda after a brief scramble, Ueda scrambles to get back on top of Marx. A scramble forces both fighters back to their feet, both fighters attempt some kicks as the round ends.
Round Three
The round begins with Ueda landing a kick to the body of Marx, Marx then lands a multi-strike combination on Ueda. Ueda then starts attacking Marx with a variety of kicks, Marx then starts attacking Ueda with some leg kicks. Marx then clobbers Ueda with a right before getting taken down, Marx rolls for a leg of Ueda and nothing comes of it. Ueda then gets back control on Marx and a short scramble, Marx finds a way to stand up while Ueda has head control. Marx then barely connects with a head kick on Ueda, Marx then catches Ueda with a counter left to the face. Marx then nails Ueda with a right during a takedown attempt, Ueda then scores a takedown on Marx. The fighters quickly stand up and Ueda lands a head kick on Marx as the round ends.
Fight Result: Travis Marx def. Masakatsu Ueda by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Post fight interview with Travis Marx, who says fighting Ueda was a great opportunity and he accomplished his goal tonight.
Fight #6 - Bellator Featherweight Tournament Semi-Final Fight
Alexandre Bezzera (13-1-0) vs. Marlon Sandro (21-3-0)

Round One
The round begins with Sandro attacking Bezzera with a few kicks, Bezzera then lands a left during a wild exchange. Sandro then starts landing a series of leg kicks on Bezzera, Bezzera then starts landing a lot of his own leg kicks on Sandro. Sandro then accidentally kicks Bezzera in the testicles, the fight resumes with Sandro resuming his leg kicks attack. Bezzera then goes for a takedown and Sandro scrambles to get free, Bezzera then rocks Sandro with a spinning back fist. Bezzera then lands a leg kick on Sandro as the round ends.
Round Two
The round begins with Bezzera quickly popping Sandro with a right, Sandro is quick to resume his leg kick attack on Bezzera. Bezzera then starts attacking Sandro with some leg kicks of his own, Sandro then pops Bezzera with a two punch combination. Bezzera then chases at Sandro after eating a left, Sandro continues to land the inside leg kicks on Bezzera. Bezzera then catches an incoming Sandro with a left, Sandro then goes for a takedown and Bezzera catches him with a right. Sandro goes for a flying knee strike on Bezzera as the round ends.
Round Three
The round begins with Bezzera scoring a takedown on Sandro, Sandro quickly stands up while eating knee strikes to the thighs. Bezzera then gets the fight back to the ground, Sandro uses a switch to get himself on top of Bezzera. The referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Sandro goes back to the leg kicks on Bezzera, Bezzera then briefly drops Sandro with a right. Sandro then catches an incoming Bezzera with a counter left, Sandro avoids a Bezzera head kick before landing a right. Sandro then lands a kick to the midsection of Bezzera, Bezzera then nails Sandro with a short left hook to the jaw. Sandro then lands a counter right on Bezzera, Bezzera rocks Sandro with a multi-punch combination as the round ends.
Fight Result: Marlon Sandro def. Alexandre Bezzera by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Fight #7 - Bellator Welterweight Title Fight
Ben Askren (9-0-0) (Champion) vs. Douglas Lima (21-4-0)

Round One
The round begins with Lima catching Askren early with a knee strike, Lima then catches an incoming Askren with a right uppercut. Askren grabs a hold of Lima and nails him with a few knee strikes, Askren then scores a takedown on Lima and he gets the closed guard. Askren then advances to the half guard on Lima, Askren then attacks Lima with some ground and pound. Lima gets a quick sweep on Askren and goes for an arm bar, Askren escapes the arm bar and gets back on top of Lima. Askren postures up after escaping another arm bar to eat an up kick, Askren then gets the open guard of Lima. Askren then advances to the half guard on Lima, Askren attacks with a few more strikes as the round ends.
Round Two
The round begins with Lima nailing Askren with a front kick, Askren then scores a takedown on Lima and nearly gets caught with a triangle. Askren then moves to the half guard position on Lima, Lima nearly scores a toe hold submission on Askren. Askren then connects with a few elbow strikes on Lima following a scramble, Lima goes for the leg of Askren following some rolling on the ground. Askren postures up and eats a few up kicks from Lima, Askren postures up again while landing several strikes on Lima as the round ends.
Round Three
The round begins with Askren dragging Lima to the ground and getting the open guard, Askren then transitions to the half guard on Lima. Askren then briefly sits on the head of Lima during a scramble, Askren then continues to attack Lima with ground and pound. Askren attempts the D’arce choke on Lima and he fails, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and they lock up near the cage wall. Lima then catches Askren with a knee strike as the round ends.
Round Four
The round begins with Lima immediately attacking Askren with leg kicks, Askren then goes for a takedown and he eats a knee strike. Askren then charges at Lima and he eats a knee strike, Askren then scores a takedown on Lima and he gets the closed guard. Askren then advances to the half guard on Lima while landing short range strikes, Askren then attacks Lima with hammer fists. Askren postures up and he lands a few punches on Lima, Lima rolls for an arm bar and Askren quickly escapes. The referee stands up the fighters for inactivity as the round ends.
Round Five
The round begins with Lima attacking Askren with leg kicks, Askren then scores a takedown on Lima after eating a knee strike. Askren then starts attacking Lima with some ground and pound, Askren postures up on Lima while attacking with strikes. Askren then advances to the half guard on Lima, Lima tries multiple times to push Askren off of him and fails. Askren stays on top of Lima as the round ends.
Fight Result: Ben Askren def. Douglas Lima by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)
