THE WRINGER REVIEW LOOKS AT A STOOGE-FREE EDITION OF MONDAY NIGHT RAW… UNLESS YOU COUNT LAURINAITIS, OTUNGA, AND POSSIBLY SANTINO
By Michael LeBlanc on 4/17/2012 12:21 PM
Will John Cena get revenge on Brock for an accidentally-busted mouth? Will John Laurinaitis continue to spout ridiculous pieces of dialogue? Will William Regal get trotted out in his home country? Let’s find out!

Did you ever think you’d see a good series of matches between Punk and Henry?
So, entering a bar/pub automatically means you’ve had a drink?! Doesn’t the “path to alcoholism” usually include actual proof of someone actually taking a drink willingly?
Are you surprised Jericho hasn’t just tried to shove jello shots down Punk’s throat?
The best news Teddy’s gotten all month is a hallucinating, goofball, wack-job trying to “find” him a job?!
Isn’t there something odd about defending the United States Championship in England?
What the hell was Otunga trying to do with that first cover of Santino?
Isn’t there something inherently wrong about people who “just want to beat people up”?
When will Zack Ryder learn to just not show up for a match against Kane?
Why didn’t Kofi knock Bryan Daniel on his ass in the middle of his “YES!” chants?
So, “People Power” is not discovering who the “People” have “chosen” to wrestler until the last minute?
Was that a bookshelf of fake books in part two of the R Truth “job hunt”?
When will Brodus Clay get a real opponent?
If Abraham Washington was going to scout wrestlers, is the Big Show/Khali vs. Epico/Primo maybe not the best match to do so in?

A pretty decent show tonight. I enjoyed another really good match between Punk and Mark Henry; I’m really enjoying their program so far. I also liked the Daniels/Kofi match. However the “alcoholic” storyline between Jericho and Punk is not enough to get me interested in their upcoming match. Some of this has been done with TitanTron promos by Jericho, and it’s not the same as having in-ring confrontations. They really should give R Truth something better to do than the ridiculous skits he’s been getting. There doesn’t seem to be a theme for next week’s 3-hour Raw; I suspect it’s going to be a looong night.
