This past Friday and Saturday the Heartland Wrestling Association presented the 2012 Heartland Cup.  "Black Jaws" Gerome Phillips won the 2012 Heartland Cup by defeating Nick Cutler, Drake Younger, Steve Corino, and BJ Whitmer. After his win, Phillips was jumped by Combat Zone Wrestling owner DJ Hyde, who destroyed the Cup given to Phillips. After the attack on Phillips, Hyde announced that he was brining CZW to Hamilton, OH on June 9th.

Also on the show, Dustin Rayz made his return to the ring, roughly six months after breaking his leg in a match for CZW this past November. Rayz defeated Jesse Emerson.
