Current Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC, ending his six season run with Bellator. With his signing, Lombard has to relinquish the Bellator Middleweight Title, which he has held since season one. Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney has stated in the past that if Lombard were to leave the promotion, season five winner Alexander Shlemenko and the winner of the season six tournament would meet to crown a new champion. Lombard has yet to be given a date for his UFC debut, but it could come anytime this Summer or early Fall.
