C*4 RETURNING TO OTTAWA NEXT MAY WITH LOADED SHOW

By Mike Johnson on 4/25/2012 7:25 PM

One man will Stand Alone as C*4 Champion – The Authority banned! Triple Threat Fan Favourite Tag Team Championship Challenge! Grudge Match!

With less than three weeks before our next event, we are excited to announce three headlining matches right now for May 12th!

First up, a match that was quickly signed (almost too quickly) after “Triumph 2012” – a challenge laid out by Franky the Mobster to the current Champion, “The Emperor” Stu Grayson.

When Grayson was informed of the challenge he accepted very quickly.

With that said, it is possible that Grayson’s cockiness is well deserved, having beaten every challenger who has crossed his path. Large and small, Grayson has managed to beat them all.

However, perhaps his cockiness has been from the increasing reliance in his stable-mates of Sebastian Suave, Mathieu St. Jacques, Thomas Dubois, and Seleziya Sparx. Over the last few months, The Authority has managed to help keep control over the C*4 Championship, and has very often assisted in Stu Grayson’s defences.

With this in mind, and in the effort of fairness, C*4 management has implemented the following stipulation on the May 12th, 2012 Championship match:

In any member of The Authority (Sebastian Suave, Mathieu St. Jacques, Thomas Dubois or Seleziya Sparx) interfere on his behalf in the match, Stu Grayson will be disqualified and will lose the championship.

This is Frankie the Mobster’s first opportunity at the C*4 Championship, since being involved in the original tournament finals to crown the initial Champion (“Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen). This is his long overdue shot at the title. It should be noted, both Player Uno and Steen, the other two men aside from Stu Grayson, who were in that Four-Way, have challenged and fallen during The Emperor’s reign.

Can Stu Grayson retain the championship, and reach a record breaking two years, as C*4 Champion? Or will Frankie the Mobster topple Grayson?

Next up a match that is filled with a group of men looking to steal the show, and two new teams looking to grab the C*4 Tag Team Championship in the process…

Our C*4 Tag Team Champions, Checkmate, Lionel Knight and Christopher Bishop have demonstrated that they are one of the most dominate teams in C*4’s history in a very short time. Combining lightning fast tandem offensive moves, and solid technical ability, Knight and Bishop have managed to defeat all comers to their tag championship.

Bishop and Knight have made it clear that they are open to facing any teams that C*4 matchmakers would give them… Well, we have two exciting combinations ready to offer them.

First off, two men who have shown great strides in team work together, as well as being formidable opponents to one another. These two very popular singles wrestlers are looking to unite their strengths and claim gold on May 12th.
The first challengers at “Stand Alone” will be the tandem of Jae Rukin and “The Allstarter” Brent B!

Next up, riding a wave of popularity, and the biggest win of his career, “Speedball” Mike Bailey is being granted a shot at the C*4 Tag Team Championship. Fresh off his decision victory over Eddie Kingston on April 21st, Bailey is being granted an opportunity to reclaim the tag team championship, which he previously held with “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen.

C*4 management is granting Bailey this chance, and has offered him the chance to pick a partner to challenge for the title. Bailey noted his first choice would be the currently suspended Player Uno. With Uno not possible, Bailey has called out to another very popular C*4 talent, “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea!

So, on Saturday May 12th, the C*4 tag team Championship will be decided when four of the most popular stars on the roster will challenge for the gold!

Lastly for today, a massive grudge match – which will see one of this seasons rising stars attempt to gain a measure of revenge against a man who assisted in an assault that took him out of singles action for over a month.

“Ronin” Josh Alexander has clearly been riding a wave of momentum that started on the first show of Season 5, when he defeated former partners “MVP” Michael Von Payton, and the recently retired, Rahim Ali. The winning ways continued as he went on to defeat El Generico (twice), “Textbook” Tyson Dux, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, and “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen. In the process of this streak, he caught the eye of the growing force of The Authority.

Following his win on March 10th, Alexander was approached publicly by Seleziya Sparx (speaking for C*4 Champion, Stu Grayson). Sparx extended an offer to Alexander to join The Authority. When “Ronin” turned down the offer, he was met with three big slaps across the face from Seleziya. In response to that, Josh grabbed Sparx and attempted to deliver his double-underhook piledriver.
Before he could complete the move, Mathieu St. Jacques, Thomas Dubois, and Sebastian Suave hit the ring. Directed by Champion Stu Grayson, they proceeded to assault Alexander.

Alexander was beaten severely and to the point that he could not compete in singles action for over a month.

On May 12th, “Ronin” Josh Alexander is looking for revenge.

Facing off against Josh, will be a man whose allegiance with The Authority has seen him grow into one of the most dangerous and determined men on the C*4 roster, Sebastian Suave!
