A pair of light heavyweight contenders will clash at UFC 149 as Mauricio Rua has signed to fight Thiago Silva at the event. Rua returns for the first time since UFC 139, which he suffered a loss to the returning Dan Henderson by decision. Silva recently returned after a one year suspension after a failed drug test, suffering a defeat to Alexander Gustafsson at UFC On Fuel TV II. UFC 149 takes place on July 21st at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo defending against Erik Koch in the main event.
