Welterweight competitor Yoshihiro Akiyama has been pulled from UFC 149 due to injury and he will be replaced by Siyar Bahadurzada. Bahadurzada made his UFC debut back at UFC On Fuel TV II when he defeated Paulo Thiago by knockout in under a minute. Bahadurzada meets Thiago Alves, who has won two of six fights since losing his UFC Welterweight Title Fight to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 100. UFC 149 takes place on July 21st at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with Jose Aldo and Erik Koch headlining.
