UFC ULTIMATE FIGHTER 9 CHAMPION RETIRES

UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 champion, James Wilks, has announced his retirement from the sport due to injuries with his spinal cord. Wilks won the UFC Ultimate Fighter 9 after defeating DaMarques Johnson by submission in the tournament finals. Throughout his MMA career, Wilks has fought some top fighters like Jimmy Smith, Roman Mitchyan, Ray Lizama, Matt Brown and Claude Patrick. The final fight of Wilks MMA career came in October 2010 when he suffered a decision loss to Claude Patrick at UFC 120.
