The Realization of Mortality 2012 opened with the drawing for the Lethal Lottery. The names of 12 competitors are drawn randomly from a hat by the audience. From this drawing, four teams of three are randomly selected to compete in two Trios matches. The two winning teams advance to the finals, where the six competitors will compete in a Six Way Scramble, with the winner not only being declared the winner of the Lethal Lottery, but also declared the new Young Guns Under-30 Champion. The match announced from this drawing: Rachel Summerlyn, Jack Jameson, and Barbi Hayden vs. Bolt Brady, Athena, and Carson. The second match: Jojo Bravo, Ricky Romida, and Jordan Jensen vs. Pierre Abernathy, Lady Poison, and Drew Lucid.
The first match of the event featured the Anarchy Heavyweight Champion ACH defending his title against Takeover member “Cowboy” James Claxton. Accompanying Claxton to the ring were the other members of the Takeover, including Jaykus Plisken, who has had ACH’s number for the past two months. And similar to the battles with Plisken, Claxton spent a majority of the time using his unmatched power to dominate ACH. But ACH was able to use his speed and quickness to fight back, putting Claxton away with a hurricanrana.
The next match was the first match in the Lethal Lottery: Rachel Summerlyn, Jack Jameson, and Barbi Hayden vs. Bolt Brady, Athena, and Carson. This was the debut of Jameson in an Anarchy ring, and he took the lead eventually for his team. While this team was able to work well together, Bolt and Carson played a slight game of one-upmanship with each other. After an intense back and forth, Brady nailed Hayden with the Manhattan Project. As Bolt was making the cover, Carson shoved him off Hayden, and scored the pinfall for himself. The team of Carson, Athena, and Bolt Brady advance to the finals.
The next match was the second match in the Lethal Lottery: Jojo Bravo, Ricky Romida, and Jordan Jensen vs. Pierre Abernathy, Lady Poison, and Drew Lucid. The luck of the draw allowed teammates in Mojo Bravado, Jordan Jensen and Jojo Bravo, to work together on the same time. Mojo Bravado used this to their advantage, as the already established tag team worked on picking apart their three opponents, with Ricky Romida on their side. In the end, the successful teamwork by Mojo Bravado proved to be too much, as Jojo Bravo nailed Drew Lucid with the Samurai Driver, and scored the victory for his team. The team of Jojo Bravo, Ricky Romida, and Jordan Jensen advance to the finals.
With the finals scheduled for later in the night, the next match was for the American Joshi Championship, as Angel Blue defended her title against Su Yung, who scored an upset victory over Rachel Summerlyn earlier in the night during an Anarchy Televised match. Both battled for the rights to be the American Joshi Champion, by any means necessary. Just when it looked as if Su Yung was going to put Angel Blue away, Blue resorted to cheap tactics, pantsing Yung in the center of the ring. As Yung was distracted trying to cover herself, Blue rolled up Blue and scored the pinfall to retain the American Joshi Championship.
In Ten Man Tag Team action, the team of Evan Gelisitco, Gary Jay, Jaykus Plisken, Jeff Gant, and Chingo Del Santo made their way to the ring first. Gelistico took the microphone, and vented his frustration. A week ago he was in the main event tapping out Jerry Lynn, and now he was an “afterthought”. Gelistico made a challenge to any five people in the back to take on his team. The call was answered by new ACW Tag Team Champions Darin Childs & Khris Wolfe, Anarchy Televised Champion Davey Vega, JC Bravo, and “Mr. Showtime” Scot Summers. All ten men fought back and forth, but in the end Childs made Gant submit at the same time Summers made Chingo submit. In a repeat of the week before, Childs and Summers had an intense staredown after the match, with Summers clutching the Tag Team Championship tightly before forcibly returning it to Childs and Wolfe.
Next was the finals of the 2012 Lethal Lottery, where the winner would be declared the new Young Guns Under-30 Champion. The match was every man for himself, even with two established tag teams competing in Mojo Bravado and Electric Company: Bolt Brady and Ricky Romida. Despite the every man for himself mentality, Mojo Bravado worked together to take on Ricky Romida, eliminating him first from the match. But Ricky Romida did not leave quietly, spearing Jojo Bravo for his troubles. During the chaos, Athena pinned Jordan Jensen, and Brady pinned Jojo Bravo. Down to three, Carson and Brady returned to their game of one-upmanship on Athena, who battled back just as evenly. Ultimately, Takeover member Carson proved to be the strongest force in the ring, eliminating Athena and Brady one after the other. Carson is the new Young Guns Under-30 Champion, and celebrated in the ring as the Takeover came out.
In the main event, the World Hardcore Championship was on the line, as “Centerfold” Matthew Palmer defended his title against former WWE and TNA star Lance Hoyt, in a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match. Before the match began, Hoyt grabbed the microphone to let the crowd in on the history shared between these two men. Hoyt trained Palmer, and brought him into the business, and threatened to “take him out”. But Palmer responded quickly, rolling up Hoyt and scoring the first fall of the match. An enraged Hoyt answered with the Blackout, scoring the second fall of the match. Hoyt spent the rest of the match letting his aggression out on Palmer, as the big man used his size to physically dissect Palmer. But Palmer fought back, using his body as a weapon and hitting Hoyt with everything he had. Palmer nailed Hoyt with the Frogsplash, but instead of going for the cover, opted instead to hit a second Frogsplash, scoring the victory and retaining his World Hardcore Championship.
