BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT'S TIME FOR CENA TO JUMP TO TNA

VKM RETURNS... NEXT WEEK, NOT TONIGHT

Roughly at 6pm/CST on Monday I received a text message from the WWE (I know, what a mark, it's because I entered the WM29 contest) letting me know that VKM will be returning to "evaluate" John Laurinaitis' performance. I immediately got excited for VKM's return (which I predicted weeks ago in a column), but then I realized, that's for NEXT week. So, the WWE sends me a spoiler and tells me that next week's RAW is “can't miss”, but what about tonight's RAW? Ah yes, Michael "First Name Greatest, Last Name Ever" Cole interviews John Cena... Thanks for nothing.

JOHN CENA NEEDS TO JUMP SHIP

That title might have you think that I am talking about Cena jumping to Smackdown, nope, I'm talking about Cena jumping to TNA. His career has gone stale, it's been ten plus years and he needs a change. I understand that's he changing sleeping partners, and that's great, change is good, but now is the time he needs to make a change in who he gets his checks from. I'm thinking a SpikeTV/TNA check is the best for John Cena. I know some of you might be reading and thinking, "This guy has officially lost it" and you might be right, HOWEVER, I'm sure people said the same thing about Hulk Hogan back in the day. I know I did. Same could have been said about Taz when he was in ECW. I know the Taz example isn't as strong as the Hogan one, but you get the idea. Point is, you never say never in pro wrestling.

Why would Cena do this? First obvious reason, it would be a lighter workload. This is the top reason why all the guys who leave WWE, end up in TNA. Second reason is, I think, without a doubt, is that TNA would borrow money if it had to if it meant getting Cena. They would definitely have to overpay for him, and by that I mean pay more than he makes now. Side note: I've always wondered why the contracts of the guys aren't known like they are in other sports. Hmm... Always wondered… Anyway, back on track...

Lastly, he'd become THE MAN in the company. I mean absolute without a doubt, THE MAN. It would be so refreshing to see Cena do SOMETHING else other than the WWE, and making another terrible movie doesn't count. I can just imagine the injection of LIFE he would get. Some will say, "Why would he want to be the man in TNA when he's the man in WWE?" I'll answer that with this, a challenge. It would be another mountain Cena would climb, another challenge he'd conquer, like becoming a WWE star was. Don't come at me with about how he'd burn his bridges with WWE. There's no such thing anymore. If VKM would take back Hogan, he'd take back Cena if that day ever came. I know it's unlikely, but imagine the possibilities for just a moment. Cena/Roode? Cena/Daniels? Cena/AJ Styles with Dixie in his corner? Cena/Samoa Joe? It would be AWESOME, right? Right.

OTHER RAW THOUGHTS

  • Every week, I sit here and wonder the same question over and over. When will Dolph Ziggler get HIS? Another loss.
  • The best promo from the Big Show, in YEARS. Granted, it was much like Brock Lesnar's but nonetheless, FINALLY!
  • CM Punk is the WWE Champion, so of course he works the middle of the show. I can understand first out, but middle of the pack? This was still a good match with Kane.
  • What a waste of athletic tape & bandages, Kofi & R-Truth.
  • Tensai is back and he pushed that midget, good stuff.
  • Oh how RAW has fallen since the night after WrestleMania. That main-event? Waste of time. Snooze fest. This will not help last week's 2.7. It's very hard to look at the good from a two hour show, when you end it with NONSENSE like the WWE did.
  • Compare TNA to RAW and tell me that RAW is a better WRESTLING show, with a straight face. Now tell me RAW has better stories/feuds than TNA with a straight face. I don't think you can do it, unless you're a WWE mark & everything they do is gold and everything TNA does is bronze or silver.
