The previously injured UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre is expected to return to action at UFC 154 to face UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit in a unification fight. Also, the next challenger for the gold will be decided at the same event at Johny Hendricks will faces Martin Kampmann. St. Pierre has not fought since a successful title defense against Jake Shields at UFC 129, which was in April 2011.
Condit won the UFC Interim Welterweight Title at UFC 143 when he defeated Nick Diaz via a controversial unanimous decision. Hendricks put himself into title contention after several impressive victories over both Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck. Kampmann is near a title shot after two great come from behind victories over Thiago Alves and Jake Ellenberger. UFC 154 takes place on November 17th at the Belle Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with the aforementioned title fight headlining.
