Expanding wrestling show coming to KSN TV
JOPLIN, Mo. – Professional wrestling fans in the four-state region will soon enjoy a more traditional presentation of the industry when TCW Wrestling debuts Sunday, June 17 at 10 a.m. on KSN TV-16.
Traditional Championship Wrestling (TCW) is an Arkansas-based wrestling company that has gained a nationwide following during the past 12 months with successful events throughout the state and TV distribution. The addition of KSN TV to its roster of television outlets is the next step in the company’s expansion plans.
“We are excited to bring wrestling back to the Joplin market,” said John Hoffmann, general manager of KSN TV. “Joplin has always had a rich wrestling tradition and TCW brings back the traditional style of professional wrestling that has always been extremely popular with the four-state area fans.”
TCW’s show will air weekly on Sunday mornings at 10. It will be shown in high definition and will expand from a previous 30-minute format to a 1-hour format. KSN is an NBC affiliate station.
The company’s roster of professional wrestlers features a blend of legends and current superstars. Longtime fans will be familiar with names such as “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Matt “Boink the Clown” Borne, Disco Inferno, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, among other marquee names that appear regularly for the company and will likely be on TCW TV. Fans will also enjoy the action featuring the stars of today such as TCW Champion Tim Storm, Matt Riviera, “King” Shane Williams, The Bradford Family, “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony and more.

The promotion also features Joplin area favorites such as “Mr. Saturday Night” Michael Barry, Dustin Heritage, Lars Manderson and referee Mark Wilson.

“Finally all the fans in the Joplin and four-state area will see what all the fuss is about,” said Barry. “They’ll get to see the two best things in wrestling today – TCW and Genetic Perfection.”

Barry, along with partner Alan Steel and manager Rich Rude, is a part of TCW Tag Team Championship team known as “Genetic Perfection.”

“We are proud to bring TCW to the Joplin area market,” said Brian Thompson, senior member of TCW’s ownership team. “We are expanding fast and it’s great to have Joplin on board. We certainly want to thank KSN TV-16 for being a great partner and helping make this union happen for both TCW fans and the viewers of the station.”

TCW has broadcast a weekly 30-minute series online and on ME-TV Arkansas and public access stations during the last year. The jump to 1-hour and high definition video will begin with the Joplin area broadcast.
