The first ever UFC Flyweight Champion will be crowned this coming September at UFC 152 as tournament finalists Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson will fight. Benavidez earned his spot in the tournament finals when he defeated Yasuhiri Urushitani back at UFC On FX II. Johnson got himself into the finals when he defeated Ian McCall at UFC On FX III, that was a rematch after the controversial ending to their first fight. UFC 152 takes place on September 22nd at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with the aforementioned fight headlining.
