Former UFC heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia, who has signed a deal with Strikeforce that will see him face Daniel Cormier at a September Strikeforce event. Cormier is coming off of the Strikeforce Heavyweight grand Prix, where he defeated Josh Barnett in the finals. Sylvia competes in a Zuffa owned company for the first time since early 2008, he has won seven of ten since. Strikeforce: Cormier vs. Sylvia takes place on September 29th at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
