A bad cut above his right eye has forced welterweight Rory MacDonald off the UFC 152 card, he was scheduled to fight BJ Penn. This would have easily been the biggest fight of the relatively young career of MacDonald, who most recently defeated Che Mills at UFC 145. Penn was coming out of a self-imposed retirement for this fight, he last fought Nick Diaz at UFC 137. There is no word yet on a replacement for MacDonald or if Penn will even remain on the card at all. UFC 152 takes place on September 22nd at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez headlining.
