It's about that time of year again, where Triple H needs to kill every, and all, momentum that someone else may have. Granted, Lesnar's isn't nearly as strong as CM Punk's was this time last year, but it's a close second. Last year, it was the "Summer of Punk" and then Triple H came along to wake everyone up to who indeed was in charge of this thing. I've stated in my columns here on PWI many times before that I am of the opinion that once VKM dies, the WWE is in good hands with Triple H & Co. I still standby that opinion. However, that is if Triple H isn't going to wrestle anymore. He's about to enter his second WWE match of the year and that doesn't bother me if he's doing it for one reason and one reason only, TO PUT PEOPLE OVER.
I got that feeling in my stomach watching RAW and the thought hit me: Triple H, the heat vacuum, is going to beat Lesnar at SummerFest, I mean SummerSlam, and ruin my summer. The more I tell myself that, the more I believe it! I don't know if I'm getting myself worked up for nothing or if there indeed is a chance that Triple H can win this thing. I don't like Lesnar's chances once they put HBK at ringside. However, it would make sense for Lesnar to beat these two old timers.
There's a good chance Lesnar might destroy HBK before 8/19 so that he cannot be at ringside. Which would in turn, point to the idea that Triple H will beat Lesnar. I really hope there is SOMEONE in the back that is standing by the idea that they are paying Lesnar TOO MUCH money to be a jobber.
WILL JERICHO AND ZIGGLER HAVE TIME?
I could have SWORN that I read Jericho's last contract date is Aug 14, which is 5 days before SummerSlam. Does this mean he doesn't work the PPV? I hope not! There needs to be a payoff for this great feud he is in with Dolph Ziggler. If the WWE gave these two guys 20 minutes at the show, they could tear the house down. I'm sure that the WWE won't let Jericho walkout after 8/14 and we'll see him put over Ziggler before he rides off to another Fozzy tour.
RAW THREE HOURS, SO FAR
So, we've had three episodes of three hour RAW, and I must admit they haven't been THAT bad. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm also trying to not take the 1000th episode into consideration but that's hard. That show was very good. I've noticed one thing with these last two shows, I haven't wanted to change the channel. I know its three hours according to the guide but it's more like a true two hour RAW with all the commercials they take. The ONLY complaint I have, WHY THE HELL DO THEY NEED AN OVERRUN IF IT'S THREE HOURS?!?!!
