ACW FALL FROM GRACE RESULTS

By Mason Scheer on 8/8/2012 10:41 AM

Anarchy Championship Wrestling’s 101st event, Fall From Grace, kicked off with two Anarchy Televised Matches. The first featured the debut of NWA Houston mainstay Barrett Brown taking on former ACW Tag Team Champion Jason Silver of the Lost Boys. Brown was able to defeat Silver, making a strong first impression in Anarchy. The second Anarchy Televised Match featured the team of ACH and Bolt Brady taking on the Takeover – U-30 Champion Carson and the new ACW Heavyweight Champion Jaykus Plisken. ACH only had eyes for Plisken, as the Takeover isolated Bolt Brady. But in the end, Brady was able to pick up the victory over heated rival Carson. After the match, the Takeover assaulted Brady, as well as fighting off all wrestlers who attempted to break up the mayhem.

To kick off the show, Carson announced right then and there that the #1 Contendership match for his U-30 Championship would take place immediately, with Bolt Brady still a beaten mess in the ring. Out came Ricky Romida and Jack Jameson, two very close friends of Brady but also competing to become number one contender. Romida and Jameson started by telling Bolt he didn’t need to compete, but Brady willed himself to fight. Romida put his feelings aside, as fought his tag team partners. Brady was able to fire back, and was looking to pick up the victory, when Carson returned to the ring. Carson taunted Brady with the U-30 Championship, distracting Bolt long enough to leave him prone to the spear from Romida, who eliminated Brady from the match. A quick spear to Jameson later, and Ricky Romida is the new number one contender to the U-30 Championship.

Carson slowly made his way to the back, only to be stopped by Pierre Abernathy, forcing Carson back into the ring to defend his U-30 Championship. As the Takeover slowly began to make their way ringside, Abernathy and Carson went back and forth in a continuing series of battles for one-upmanship, including an arm wrestling contest in the center of the ring. Abernathy began to feel the power of the fans, and started to “Hulk Up”, connecting with a big boot. As he began scaling the turnbuckle to hit his patented moonsault, Claxton distracted Abernathy long enough for Carson to retaliate with a DDT to secure the victory and retain his U-30 Championship.

The next match saw new ACW American Joshi Champion Barbi Hayden defend her title against a returning Jessica James, who had been missing since to emergence of Lady Poison this past January. This Jessica James was a bit different: not the same laughing and bubbling Jessica James, but a bit darker and more sullen. Hayden was not so trusting of Jessica, still slightly convinced that Lady Poison was still deep inside her. Both Joshis went back and forth, neither one gaining the true upperhand on the other. After several close two counts, Jessica James slid out of the ring, and made her way to back, leaving the match entirely. Hayden was confused, yelling for Jessica to return to the ring. With Hayden distracted, former champion Angel Blue hit the ring, nailing Barbi from behind with the Joshi Championship. Blue announced that she will not compete again until she gets a shot at the Joshi Championship.

Gary Jay made his way to the ring, and informed the crowd that his scheduled opponent, JT LaMotta, was unable to be there tonight. He noted that since he heard a lot of commotion about Barrett Brown earlier in the evening, he was challenging him to a match right now. Brown made his way to the ring, and took on Gary Jay. Brown was impressive once again, but the craft veteran was too much for him to take, as Gary Jay sealed the victory by grabbing the tights.

The next scheduled match was to be Mike Dell vs. Jerry Lynn. As Lynn made his way to the ring, Evan Gelistico attacked him from behind, assaulting him in the ring. The music of Mike Dell hit, and Dell rushed to the ring to make the save. In the middle of all the chaos, the ACW World Hardcore Champion and one-half of the new Tag Team Champions Matthew Palmer hit the ring. He announced that since Gelistico attacked Jerry from behind, and since he never got revenge on Mike Dell for injuring his knee three years ago, and since “well, you’re Jerry Fucking Lynn”, he made the match a four-way dance for the World Hardcore Championship. Immediately all four men began brawling inside the ring and out. Jerry Lynn eliminated Evan Gelistico, getting a measure of revenge for tonight and the last several months. Jerry Lynn was eliminated soon after by Mike Dell, leaving two former members of the Takeover to battle it out. In the end, Palmer connected with the Centerfold Splash to retain his championship.

Back from intermission, Jojo Bravo challenged the 2012 American Joshi Queen of Queens Athena. With Jojo Bravo at ringside was his tag team partner Jordan Jensen, who made his presence known early and often, distracting Athena at every turn. Athena was able to fight off the basic two-on-one encounter, nailing Jojo Bravo with the O-Face to pick up the victory. After the match, Jensen rushed to the ring to start a another beatdown on Athena. This brought out Davey Vega to even the score, as well as Matthew Palmer, to fight off constant foes Mojo Bravado. When the chaos ended, Vega and Jensen started their match for Vega’s Anarchy Televised Championship. With both sets of tag partners looking on, Vega and Jensen fired at each other with everything they had and then some, in one of hardest hitting battles of the night. Vega was able to hit the V-8 from the top rope, retaining his championship.

In faction warfare, the team of the Children of Pain 2.0: Shawn Vexx, Killah Kash, and the Lost Boys, took on the teams of the Dream Warriors: Darin Childs and Khris Wolfe, and the Kings of the Underground, Scot Summers and Ryan Genesis. The KOTU started things out strong, knocking Jason Silver from the apron, and later busting open the back of his head with a well placed kicked to the skull. Shawn Vexx fought equally hard for his team, leading the COP 2.0. The Dream Warriors and KOTU had the advantage, and just when they were about to seal the victory, Scot Summers cold cocked Darin Childs right in the jaw. The Kings and Warriors began brawling with each other, allowing Vexx to get the pin on Khris Wolfe. After the match, “Showtime” Scot Summers explained his actions: all the Dream Warriors needed to do were retain their tag titles, yet they couldn’t do that. Summers declared that once they get the titles back, it’s on.

In the main event of the evening, new ACW Heavyweight Champion Jaykus Plisken defended his title against former champion ACH and Rachel Summerlyn. After a very cautious start, ACH and Summerlyn double teamed Plisken, opting to try eliminating the biggest threat first. After Jaykus was dumped to the outside, ACH and Summerlyn began fighting each other, until Plisken made a big return in the ring. ACH had his focus directly on Plisken, wanting to regain the ACW Heavyweight Championship. Right as ACH was about to connect with a huge kick, his feet were tangled up by Shawn Vexx, who snuck his way ringside. The distraction proved vital enough for Plisken to wrap ACH in the Prey For Death, and the pain forced ACH to pass out, eliminating him from the match. Rachel Summerlyn fought as hard as she possibly could against Plisken, knocking him down several times with forearm strikes. But the power of Plisken was just too much, and he took out Summerlyn with a massive lariat to retain his championship.
