UFC veteran Jorge Santiago will be returning to Strikeforce after a five year absence at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy to fight Quinn Mulhern. Santiago returns to Strikeforce for the first time since 2007 when he won a four man middleweight tournament by defeating Sean Salmon and Trevor Prangley. Mulhern enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, most notably defeating Yuri Villefort at Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier. Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy takes place on September 29th at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California with Gilbert Melendez and Pat Healy headlining.
