Did Vin Gerard beat PBA's top star in a Professional Bowling Challenge?

It all started over Twitter.

Professional Wrestler, Vin Gerard, known primarily for his work in Chikara Pro, posted a video this week claiming to have beaten PBA Professional Bowler Jason Belmonte and will now be traveling to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the World Series of Bowling.

ESPY Award Winner for "Best Bowler of 2011", Jason Belmonte tweeted on Friday "@jbelmo: Certainly not what I was expecting. At all."

Vin Gerard had made remarks via Twitter (@vingerard) at the Professional Bowler's Association (@pbatour) claiming that he could beat anyone in the PBA in a 3-game scratch series and wagered his hair in the matchup. He even produced a wrestling style promo posted on YouTube.

It has yet to be confirmed whether Vin Gerard actually did beat Belmo in a 3-game scratch series, but we will continue to follow this story as it develops.

Gerard has recently taken a leave from professional wrestling to begin a mobile app for nightlife called "SnipStamp". The app is expected to launch later this month and is looking for testers for both Android and iPhone. More information can be found on their Facebook fanpage.
