Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin, the fight is expected to take place at this December’s UFC 155 event. Sonnen last competed at UFC 148, getting knocked out by UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva in their rematch. Griffin also last competed at UFC 148, defeating Tito Ortiz via a controversial decision in Ortiz’s retirement fight. UFC 155 takes place on December 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada with Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez headlining.
