Try to follow the bouncing ball on this one folks, Dan Henderson has suffered an MCL injury and is out of his UFC 151 title fight against UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. UFC President Dana White said that former middleweight top contender Chael Sonnen accepted the fight against Jones on eight day’s notice, but Jones and trainer Greg Jackson turned down the fight.
With all that being said and done, UFC 151 as a whole is now officially cancelled and as of this writing, the other fights have yet to be rescheduled. Now the UFC Light Heavyweight Title will be defended on September 22nd at UFC 152 as champion Jon Jones defends against new top contender Lyoto Machida, in a rematch from their UFC 140 fight.
