Welcome to the PWInsiderXtra.com live coverage of the Bellator 73 Preliminary Card, live from the Harrah’s Tunica Hotel & Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.

Fight #1 – Bellator Lightweight Division Fight

Cosmo Alexandre (2-1-0) vs. Harry Johnson (6-7-0)

Referee: Dan Ferguson

Round One

The round begins with Johnson quickly forcing Alexandre up against the cage wall, Johnson then scores a takedown on Alexandre and he gets side control. Johnson then rolls for a guillotine choke and Alexandre scrambles to escape. The fighters get back up and Alexandre blocks a Johnson takedown attempt, Alexandre then drops Johnson with a punch to the balls and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Johnson attacking Alexandre with a flurry of strikes, Johnson then drags Alexandre to the ground and Alexandre gets on top of him immediately. Alexandre allows the fight to be stood up and he lands a body kick on Johnson, Johnson then catches Alexandre with a two punch combination. Johnson then catches Alexandre with knee strikes while grappling along the cage wall, Alexandre gets Johnson off of him after nailing him with a blow to the rib cage. Alexandre scores atakedown on Johnson and he attacks him with elbow strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Alexandre quickly attacking Johnson with a high kick, Alexandre then drops Johnson with a knee strike to the rib cage and Johnson immediately hit the ground and the referee jumped in.

Fight Result: Cosmo Alexandre def. Harry Johnson by KO via knee strike (0:39, R2)

Fight #2 – Bellator Light Heavyweight Division Fight

Brian Albin (13-8-0) vs. Jacob Noe (9-1-0)

Referee: Jason Herzog

Round One

The round begins with Noe catching Albin with a quick punching combination, Noe then forces Albin up against the cage wall. The referee separates the fighters after inactivity and Albin nails Noe with a few lefts, Noe then charges at Albin while attempting several strikes. Noe then scores a trip takedown on Albin and he gets side control, Noe then starts attacking Albin with various short range strikes. Noe then starts attacking Albin with just a bunch of elbow strikes until the round ends.

(Note: In between rounds, the doctor stopped the fight because the massive cut on Brian Albin’s lip.)

Fight Result: Jacob Noe def. Brian Albin by TKO via doctors stoppage (5:00, R1)

Fight #3 – Bellator Middleweight Division Fight

Amaechi Oselukwue (3-6-0) vs. Kelvin Tiller (4-0-0)

Referee: Dave Ferguson

Round One

The round begins with Tiller briefly dropping Oselukwue with a leg kick, Oselukwue then starts using his range by peppering Tiller with jabs. Tiller then drops Oselukwue a second time with a leg kick, Tiller then lands a side kick before scoring a takedown on Oselukwue. Tiller then transitions toack control on Oselukwue, Oselukwue stands back up before Tiller drags him back to the ground and regains back control. Tiller pops Oselukwue with a few strikes as he attempted to stand up, Tiller attacks Oselukwue with a few more strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Tiller immediately attacking Oselukwue with a straight right that is followed by a body kick, Oselukwue then catches Tiller with a two punch combination. Oselukwue lands a few more strikes before Tiller scores a takedown, Tiller then starts attacking Oselukwue with ground and pound. Oselukwue attempts to roll out and he continues to eat strikes from Tiller, Tiller then advances to back control on Oselukwue. Oselukwue scrambles to get Tiller off of his back, Tiller attacks with some more ground and pound until the referee jumps in.

Fight Result: Kelvin Tiller def. Amaechi Oselukwue by TKO via strikes (4:21, R2)

Fight #4 – Bellator Welterweight Division Fight

Andy Uhrich (8-3-0) vs. Joe Williams (7-0-0)

Referee: Kelly Leo

Round One

The round begins with Williams catching Uhrich with a few rights, Uhrich then nails Williams with a kick to the midsection. Williams then briefly puts Uhrich on the ground, Uhrich recovers to pop Williams with a short right to the face. Williams then scores a takedown on Uhrich after catching him with a right, Uhrich scrambles to get the fight standing again. Williams then brings Uhrich back to the ground for a short time, Williams then nails Uhrich with a left hook. Uhrich responds by catching Williams with a left hook to the rib cage, Williams quickly recovers to drag Uhrich to the ground. Uhrich finds a way to stand back up while eating rights from Williams, Williams then lands another takedown on Uhrich. Uhrich shoves Williams back with a push kick to get the fight standing as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Uhrich catching Williams with a double jab, Uhrich then leaps at Williams while popping him with a left. Uhrich then starts attacking Williams with a series of leg kicks, Williams then gets control of Uhrich before scoring the takedown. Uhrich stands up once again after eating a few strikes from Williams, Williams then nails Uhrich with a few lefts. Williams then rocks Uhrich with a lead right and then a left hook, Uhrich then pops Williams with a few punches as he charged at him. Uhrich follows that up by nailing Williams with two straight punches, Uhrich also starts attacking Williams with some leg kicks as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Williams immediately putting Uhrich on his back with a takedown, Uhrich attacks Williams with some elbows while on his back. Williams then clobbers Uhrich with a right as he stood back up, Uhrich then attempts a guillotine choke and Williams instantly breaks free and gets on top of him. The referee stands the fighters after inactivity and both fighters exchange knee strikes, Uhrich then attempts another choke and Williams counters to get control of his back. Williams then tries for another takedown and Uhrich trips him and gets back control on him, Uhrich then starts attacking Williams with some ground and pound. Williams eventually breaks free and he gets on top of Uhrich as the round ends.

Fight Result: Andy Uhrich def. Joe Williams by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
