Despite losing opponent Vitor Belfort to the UFC 152 card, Alan Belcher has been officially pulled from the UFC 153 card after suffering a fractured spine. Belcher himself stated that he wants to return before the end of the year, with Chris Weidman as his requested opponent. Belcher last competed at UFC On Fox III, defeating Rousimar Palhares by TKO in the fights opening round.
