A battle of top rated lightweights has been added to Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy as Jorge Gurgel fights Mizuto Hirota. Gurgel has only won one of his last four, with that lone victory coming over Billy Vaughan at a March 2011 Strikeforce event. Hirota is currently winless in Strikeforce competition, having lost to Pat Healy at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy. Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy takes place on September 29th at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, California with Gilbert Melendez and Pat Healy headlining.
