Current Bellator Heavyweight Champion Cole Konrad (9-0-0) has announced his retirement from MMA to pursue a career as a financial trader. Konrad won the Bellator Heavyweight Title at Bellator 32, defeating Neil Grove in the tournament finals. Konrad last competed at Bellator 70, successfully defending his title against Eric Prindle, the victory came by submission. Konrad also holds a victory over UFC veteran Paul Buentello, he also competed in the Matrix Fights promotion before coming to Bellator.
