3XWrestling Celebrates 100th Event
Clobberpalooza Classic 5 features national star Perry Saturn
DES MOINES, Iowa – The all-stars of Midwest pro wrestling will be in action once again on Friday, September 28 as 3XWrestling (3XW) holds the Clobberpalooza Classic 5. This is the 100th total event for the company, which is truly a major milestone in independent professional wrestling.
Featuring the best wrestlers in the Midwest, the card includes three title matches and a number of other intense grudge matches.
Among the title bouts, long-time WWE/WCW/ECW star Perry Saturn defends the 3XWrestling Pure Wrestling title against "The World's Fittest Wrestlers" Mark Sterling, while "The Rebel" Jeremy Wyatt defends the 3XW Heavyweight title against "The Bulletproof Tiger" Jaysin Strife for the first time. The 3XW Tag Team championship will also be at stake as the American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & "The American Fury" Jon West with Skylar Pierce) defend against the Dezire Brothers.
In a very special tag team attraction, Darin Corbin & "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon challenge the Electric Centaurs ("The Rockstar" Jimmy Rockwell & "Rock n' Roll" Mike Sydal), and in a King of Des Moines Tournament finals rematch, Emperor Kwong with Chad Mylan battles "The Canadian Sex Icon" Ryan Slade.
The Clobberpalooza Classic 5 will be held at the Baratta’s@Forte Center in Des Moines. The event will be filmed for future airing on 3XW’s weekly television program on Iowa CW Network affiliates. 3XW’s TV show airs Saturday at 6 p.m. on KWKB (eastern Iowa) and 1 a.m. Monday on KCWI (central Iowa).
Doors open for the The Clobberpalooza Classic 5 at 7 p.m. (6:45 p.m. for advance ticket holders) for a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Barratta's@Forte Center is located at 615 3rd St. in beautiful downtown Des Moines.
