Veteran lightweight fighter Dennis Hallman has been cut by the UFC after failing to make weight for the now cancelled fight against Thiago Tavares for UFC On FX V. According to Hallman himself, he has to deal with “family issuesâ€; UFC President Dana White paid him his fight money before the release. Hallman won three of five during this most recent UFC run, most notably defeating Karo Parisyan at UFC 123. There is no word yet on what the “family issues†where or when Hallman may return to active MMA competition.
