UFC veteran Shane Roller has announced his retirement from the sport following a UFC On FX V loss to Jacob Volkmann. Roller will be retiring with a professional record of 11-7-0, fighting in the UFC, WEC and Xtreme Fighting League promotions. During his five years as a professional MMA fighter, Roller fought the likes of Ben Henderson, Anthony Pettis, Danny Castillo, Anthony Njokuani, Jamie Varner, Thiago Tavares, Melvin Guillard, Michael Johnson and Jacob Volkmann. There is no word yet from Roller on what his plans consist of following his announcement of his retirement.
