Canadian Wrestling's Elite is just under a month away from what will be its biggest event to ever be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario and perhaps the company's history when Icons of Wrestling: Past, Present, and Future comes to the CLE Coliseum. Tickets are officially on sale for CWE's first event in Thunder Bay in well over two years. Here is what is scheduled on this anticipated night,
"Extreme Rules" 3-Way Dance
Former ECW World Champion & WWE Star "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer vs. CWE Tag Team Champion Kevy Chevy vs. Former CWE Tag Team Champion "The Pissed Off Pitbull" Robby Royce
-The heart and soul of ECW returns to CWE and has his toughest challenge in recent years ahead of him when he steps in the ring with two of Canada's toughest and perhaps most "hardcore" wrestlers. Royce, the 20 year veteran has made a career for himself by being the most innovative and death defying wrestler in the country for over two decades and was the pioneer of "extreme" in Central Canada. Kevy Chevy is considered by many, if not all, the biggest and baddest and most definitely most feared man in not only CWE but the country. These three men have made a reputation for themselves with violence and brutality and look to uphold that reputation when they headline this historic event in Thunder Bay.
CWE Championship Match
CWE Champion "Bring the Pain" Matt Fairlane w/"The Thunder Bay Bad Boy" Robb Mass vs. WWE Legend & Hall of Famer Tito Santana
-The brand new Canadian Wrestling's Elite Champion is set for a high stakes title match right out of the gate when he goes toe to toe with a man he wrestled earlier this year, Tito Santana. Fairlane scored the victory earlier this year in controversial fashion and Santana looks for revenge in the rematch. Santana has a long list of championships to his name over his 30 year career including the WWE Intercontinental and Tag Team titles. Santana looks to add one more when he challenges Fairlane. The wildcard in the match will be the toughest man in all of Thunder Bay, Robb Mass. The champion has enlisted Mass as his personal bodyguard for this match and Mass is no stranger to getting involved in the action. Can the legend over come the odds for one last championship run?!
Superstar Showdown
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion CARLITO vs. Former WWE Superstar & Leader of the Brood "The Vampire Warrior" GANGREL
-It wouldn't be a super show without a superstar showdown! That is exactly what is going to take place when two of WWE's most prominent and memorable wrestlers do battle for the very first time. Both men are still in the prime of their career and will be bringing their A Game for what promises to be a match not to be missed!
CNWA Provincial Title Match
CNWA Provincial Champion "International Superstar" MENTALLO vs. Former 2x CWE Champion "Hotshot" Danny Duggan
- Two of Canada's most respected technical wrestlers will do battle over the prestigious CNWA Provincial Championship in the title's first appearance in Ontario and Eastern Canada. These two men are no stranger to each over with a feud over the CWE Championship lasting over 18 months. These two men did battle in perhaps two of the best pure wrestling matches witnessed inside a CWE ring in 2012 and now rejuvenate their feud when they do battle over yet another championship on November 9th!
"The Mecca" Shane Madison & "Dynamite" Dylan Davis vs. The Saints of Los Angeles (Tommy Lee Curtis & Nate Hardy)
- The featured tag team match on the event is the ever popular tag team of Nate Hardy and Tommy Lee Curtis who's high flying innovative style of professional wrestling have captured Manitoba wrestling crowds for almost 6 months now. The new team has a tough challenge ahead when they wrestle CWE Executive Ambassador Shane Madison who is dusting off his boots for a very rare wrestling appearance and Legend City Wrestling's Dylan Davis traveling all the way from Newfoundland for his first ever wrestling match outside of Newfoundland. "The Mecca" only makes appearances for "the big ones" and plans on making an impression with his hand picked tag team partner, a man he has scouted in his executive ambassador position.
