More fights have been added to the January Strikeforce event as Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez defends against Pat Healy and Daniel Cormier faces Dion Staring. Melendez and Healy were set for a title fight back in September, but injuries cancelled both the fight and the entire card. Cormier competes for the first time since winning the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, while Staring enters the fight riding a six fight winning streak. Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy takes place on January 12th at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Gilbert Melendez and Pat Healy headlining.
