A potentially big welterweight battle has been added to UFC 156 as Jon Fitch has agreed to fight Damien Maia. Fitch has won six of his last eight entering this fight, most notably defeating Thiago Alves in their rematch at UFC 117. Maia is currently undefeated as a welterweight in the UFC, defeating Dong Hyun Kim and Rick Story respectively. UFC 156 takes place on February 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar headlining.
