The California based Tachi Palace Fights promotion has decided to close its doors, following a vote by the Tachi Palace tribal authority. The promotion was born when Zuffa (who owns the UFC) bought the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, which ran out of the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino. Notable fighters like Chad Mendes, Steven Siler, War Machine, Ulysses Gomez, Poppies Martinez, Michael McDonald, David Mitchell, Eddie Yagin, Xavier Foupa-Pokam, Cyrille Diabate, Nam Phan, Ian McCall and many others have fought in the promotion.
