This March’s UFC On Fuel TV VIII event has a headliner as Wanderlei Silva faces Brian Stann, also announced for the card is Stefan Struve versus Mark Hunt, Takanori Gomi versus Diego Sanchez, Dong Hyun Kim versus Siyar Bahadurzada, Riki Fukuda versus Brad Tavares, Cristiano Marcello versus Kazuki Tokudome, Takeya Mizugaki versus Bryan Caraway and Alex Caceres versus Kyung Ho Kang.
Silva has only won two of his last five in the UFC, while Stann is coming off of a loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 152. Struve will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak, while Hunt is coming off of a victory over Cheick Kongo. Gomi recently defeated UFC Ultimate Fighter champion Mac Danzig, while Sanchez returns to the lightweight division after a three year layoff. Kim has won two of his last three fights in the UFC, while Bahadurzada is currently undefeated in the UFC.
Fukuda has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, while Tavares has won two straight under the UFC banner. Marcello recently achieved his first UFC victory by defeating Reza Madadi, Tokudome will be making his UFC debut. Mizugaki has won three of five during his UFC run, while Caraway is currently undefeated in UFC competition. Caceres has won three of his last four in the UFC, while Kang has won three straight heading into his UFC debut. UFC On Fuel TV VII takes place on March 2nd at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan with Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann headlining.
