A Bellator Bantamweight Title Fight is set for Bellator 84 as champion Eduardo Dantas defends the gold against Marcos Galvao. Dantas will be making his first title defense, he won the gold by defeating Zack Makovsky by submission at Bellator 65. Galvao earned the title shot by winning the season seven bantamweight tournament, defeating Luis Nogueira in the finals. Bellator 89 takes place on February 14th at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
