C*4 WRESTLING RETURNING TO OTTAWA, FULL DETAILS

By Mike Johnson on 2/8/2013 4:14 PM

“The Hacker” challenges the “Ronin”!  Can “Mr. Wrestling” keep the peace between the Smash Brothers!  Plus much more!

We are one month away from C*4’s next monster show, when we present “Level Up 2013”!  We’ve got a stacked line up of matches on deck – and are excited to announce our main event, and an exciting six-man tag match!

Over the course of the last several months, fans have seen a new, darker, side of one “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea.     Having repeatedly used his trusty keyboard as a weapon to keep “Speedball” Mike Bailey away from a C*4 Championship show, he has found his way to an undefeated Season Six so far.

Having secured a future C*4 Championship opportunity by way of pinning Bailey at “Rise Above” 2013, O’Shea has told C*4 management that he’ll take that shot on March 9th.

As much as O’Shea is having a technically flawless season, current C*4 Champion “Ronin” Josh Alexander is having undeniably perfect one.

Having conquered all challengers, including former C*4 Champion and tag team Champions, Alexander is certainly seemingly up for the challenge.

The “Ronin” has excelled defending his championship in the traditional “One Fall to a Finish” rules for a C*4 Championship match.  Fighting through anything and all his opponents can throw at him, using their bodies and foreign objects alike; Alexander has mastered this type of match unlike any former Champion.   Mastering it so much in fact that C*4 has labelled all future Alexander championship matches to be contested under “Ronin’s Rules” aka No DQ, No Count-Out, one fall to a finish.

With this in mind, will the keyboard-swing, QWERTY warrior, “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea be able to defeat “Ronin” Josh Alexander?  Or can Alexander fight through the odds, and flying keyboards, and once again retain his championship?

Last month, C*4 fans saw something of a Super Smash Brothers reunion, when Player Uno and Stu Graysonteamed up to defeat the impromptu challenge of “All Ego” Ethan Page and “MVP” Michael Von Payton.   Despite the dishing out as much violence against each other, as they did their opponents, The Smash Brothers won the match.

After the win, Uno and Stu were attacked by C*4 Tag Team Champions, Tabarnak de Team, Mathieu St. Jacques and Thomas Dubois, as well as their former stable-mate Sebastian Suave.

Despite their differences, the SSB managed to stand together to keep T.d.T and Suave at bay.

C*4 management was quick to attempt to sign a match to allow the Super Smash Brothers a measure of revenge against St. Jacques, Dubois and Suave.  However we had several hurdles in the process…

First off, C*4 management was informed by Suave that he would be unavailable to compete on March 9th, as he will be touring for Zero-1 in Japan.  However, he said he’ll gladly provide a replacement to stand in for himself, along with T.d.T.   We’ll get to that momentarily.

On the other side of things, Player Uno doesn’t fully trust stepping into the ring alongside Stu Grayson against men that he led for over a year against him.

Hearing Player Uno’s feelings, C*4 has decided to step in and place a “peace keeper” between the SSB.  A man who has teamed with, and battled against both Uno and Grayson, and who has played the role of a big brother to both of them – “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen.

Current ROH World Champion, “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen will team alongside Player Uno and Stu Grayson, on March 9th.

Now onto their opponents…

As we stated T.d.T will be present.  However, Suave will not be there to compete.  Teaming with the C*4 Champions, St. Jacques & Dubois, will be Suave’s handpicked partner… A young man who has competed all across the world, including WWE’s incarnation of ECW, Ontario standout, Shawn Spears!

While Spears may not be as emotionally invested in this contest as the other participants, there is no doubt at all that he wants to make an impression in C*4.  A win against one of the most recognized Champions in the world, Ring of Honor World Champion, “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen, and one of the most established duos in indy wrestling today, The Super Smash Brothers, would put Spears on the map in C*4.

Where do alliances stand?  Which trio will triumph?  Find out at “Level Up 2013”!
